It's high but not terrible.

They are also very personable. I don't really handle them much but they still want to be handled. Like fly up to my arm or shoulders randomly for petting.

9 days to go on my Maticoopx20 Lavender Orpington hatch, I started with 12 and tossed two clears on day 7 so 10 will go to lockdown. Question for the expert, is it a bad idea to put the eggs in coffee filters for hatching? It seams it would cut down on cleaning...

Would it potentially be the same as putting them on a shelf liner? I know the liner makes it much easier to clean for me.

My level of lazy has not reached that high yet. Shelf liner, yes, but only in the 360. My 4250 is gross from top to bottom after a hatch. I just clean it.

All of mine have nice voices. I don't see how people don't like the crowing. Hens make all the racket.

I only incubat in the Ovation and hatch the mati.

I've had them a few times. Been so long I don't remember their crow. Neat little birds. I'd have them in a heartbeat over BCs.

@The Moonshiner, remember the bantam RIR eggs you acquired? Remember the rotten luck you had? I worked so hard to get my splash and ended up with 2. The pullet got dead and the roo sucks so bad.

Buckeye bantams don't have a super high crow but yeah, d'Anvers sound silly.
