It is this but they have been brought back to standard in all but the silked feathers.

I was intrested in them for a while.

No disrespect, I am just not fluent in the ways of the Silkie. They are cute but prohibited at my house. I could probably talk my husband into any breed there is, but Silkies are a hard NO.

OK I just don't get modern western pleasure. I realize I'm probably the only one in this camp, but these horses look like they're about to fall on their faces, like they're in some sort of a daze. Western pleasure didn't look like this 20 years ago. Different strokes for different folks.

I never like the AQHA western pleasure and its ben that way a long time. I used go show back in the 90s and it's same as now.

I had silkies for about and year and them sold them all. I'm not actually silkie person.

I had Silkies in High School and then I met my husband and kinda moved in with him and its been a while ago, so I can’t quite remember, but I’m pretty sure he somehow talked me into giving my Silkies to a friend of his.

Silkies definitely aren't for everyone I don't mind the bit of extra work (crest trimming etc) and I think they're fun.
