The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I've been thinking about 1x2s or 2x2s and corrugated metal or plastic roofing. It would last longer and hold up to the wind better. Problem is the panels can be expensive.

This is the pen I'm talking about before I added the second one to it.

Ya it's expensive but I'm in redneck farm land. Sometimes you can find used cheap. Especially in small quantities. I've got some stocked up but I'm always particular about using it.
Lol, afraid I'll run out then really need it.
I actually just got 4 pieces that are like 32" wide and 4' long free from a garage sell like a week ago. I've got a plan for those since width and style match my barn. My barn siding just went to the ground. There's areas it's eroded so there were gaps something could get under. Where I have pens up against the wall I've cut small pieces unscrewed my siding from the bottom board dug a trench and slipped a piece between the board and my siding. Put in trench and the top edge is behind the board. Screwed it back together and filled in the trench.
I've been wanting to go all the way around with it even where there isn't pens.

Sometimes I can pick up decent size cuts of smart siding or whatever it's called they use in new house construction. I'll probably look into that for the sides.
