The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I mean friends are cool and most of my friends have been cool. But I've always been one of those that give more then I take so idk I guess I can only deal with a limited number.
Then over the last several years I've lost a few of my closest ones. Couple just not in my life like they were and a couple not in life anymore. That sucks.
Women can be pretty cutthroat, as I have found out many times throughout my life, in the form of "best friends" and co-workers. They are constantly doing shady non-friend-like things like trying to flirt with your husband, talking about you behind your back, etc. I do not like fake people, and do not want fake friends. The few friends I have are real and genuine, and I trust them more than most of my family. I prefer quality to quantity for sure.

You are wrong. You aren't the only woman in America that doesn't like shopping in stores. I really try to avoid them especially during holidays and when they have those big sales. The stores are too crowded, and the check out lines are too few with long lines.
Yes!! Honey I would rather pay regular price for something than try to fight someone to get it on sale. 😆

My mom always said she could work in any factory or shop with 100 men and everyone for the most part got along but throw one more woman in the mix and the whole place would go to 💩

Agreed. I would prefer to work around a bunch of men, but considering that nursing is still pretty female dominant, I have always had to work around women and I hate it. I hate all the drama and the moodiness.

We scalded, plucked, and processed our Thanksgiving turkey today. Since I was the one doing the gutting and stuff, I didn’t think to get pictures of that part. He dressed out at 16.8 pounds.

Warning: graphic pictures of un-alived turkey being processed.

My work gave me a store bought one a couple days ago. I must remember to put it in the fridge to thaw.
Last year I d@mn near forgot. I'm not used to starting to thaw something days in advance.
My work used to give us turkey or ham vouchers for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Now they give us a $20 Kroger gift card at Thanksgiving and a $25 one for Christmas. We are planning to do turkey and dumplings and a ham for Christmas. I have one or two more toms to butcher, but I hate scalding and plucking. I usually only do that once per year for Thanksgiving. Our turkey will stay in a cooler full of ice water and kosher salt brine until time to cook it next week.

Skinning and cutting out the breast and leg quarter meat is my preferred method for turkeys, but you have to scald/pluck and keep a bird whole with the skin for roasting, like with a Thanksgiving turkey.
Mines getting deep fried.
