Same breed, just different varieties.Yes, but there's more then one breed there.

More house chick's for the winter.Same breed, just different varieties.![]()

And lap chickens by spring.More house chick's for the winter.![]()
Oh the joys of house chickens and all their dust. And these little critters act like they are on some form of amphetamine! They are constantly scratching their pine shavings and kicking it out of the chick pen. Constant mess. I've gotta boot them outside soon. Probably this weekend to make room for the next round. lolMore house chick's for the winter.![]()
No chickens on the furniture. My husband has drawn the line.And lap chickens by spring.
They'll be hanging out on the couch watching TV and eating popcorn
Well, I suppose by having them as house chick's they are where you can pay more attention to that.I have a hypothesis though. These White Leghorn chicks are feathering at different rates. Two have long wings that are the same length and are feathering at the same rate as the other varieties in the brooder, and two of the WL have short wings and are feathering slower. I hypothesize that they have the slow feathering gene that allows for feather sexing. I am marking the chicks to see if my theory is true. I am thinking the two slower feathering WL are males, and the 2 faster feathering WL chicks are female.
@Amer?
I gotta get pictures.
