They can’t be shown. And in many breeds, they also have leakage. And that means less blues if blue is your goal.

I guess that makes sense. But people usually don’t show every bird they keep, do they? And splash x black gives you 100% blues. Though I guess that could negatively effect the shade/lacing of the blues?

Already been answered but ya you can't. Blue Xs Blue will give you blue, black and splash

So once you acheive this you have to work around it to keep it,huh?

I've just been breeding blue back to others because I haven't had enough blues with nice clean yellow legs. In the beginning it was because I didn't have any with yellow legs and I wanted to increase the % of leghorn blood and get to yellow legs.
My plan is to breed some together in the next year or two so I can get splash and breed to good leghorns for 100% Blues.
