I would think male cuckoo over blue hens, then any blue cuckoo hens that result go to a cuckoo male. Shouldn't that in theory result in black and blue cuckoo?

This is probably a sound theory and maybe a smart move but I can't quite process it since as soon as I read the keeping 5% and the 1,062 out the door my head exploded.
