It depends on the day and can go either way.Well in all fairness he hasn't shared what he makes when taking the throw aways to auction so...
I've at times been shocked at how well they did and on other days been so disappointed that I've thought about never doing it again.
I've learned some things that help. They sell in the order they get dropped off. You don't want to be the very first few because at the first people seem to want to set back and get a feel how things are gonna go. But you do want to be closer to the beginning then towards the end when many have already spent their money and the prices really drop down.
You have to provide your own cages so you want to do that as cheap as possible because that cuts into profit.
I've found that it helps to break them up into smaller groups of course cause more will bid on 5 birds over 20. Roomy cages so birds aren't packed in and cages that make them easy to view help.
There's a learning curve.
