Lol. They're looking pretty thin. Spent some time using them in crosses and hadn't been hatching an pure ones for a long while.
I'm down to less then a handful so I need to focus on hatching some before long.

I doubled down on Leghorns. Bought some light brown chicks from Bud Blankenship and have Dark Browns on the way, too. Found some extra nice Isabella birds I bought eggs off of, too. Got those and some legbars in the 'bator now and we'll see what happens.

I figure by next year I'd like to have breeding pens set up for Light Brown, Dark Brown and Isabella Leghorns, plus a pen to work towards Isabella Legbars.... for whatever that's worth. Really just working on those because I'm obsessed with barred birds and can't find any nice barred/cuckoo leghorns

Yay! As the Moonshiner said, it's spring, it's time for babies! HHFarm, you gotta post some picts when they hatch. Also anyone who has babies....we need to celebrate the wonderfulness of chickens don't ya think?
