Where's everyone at with their hatches?
Candled last night. Pulled 1.5 trays of clear eggs or quitters. Probably left another 12-18 questionable eggs. All duck eggs including Calls were clear. Most of my eggs were fertile except the Silver-laced Orpingtons. Yesterday was the first time I'd seen him breed in months though. So maybe he hasn't been. So in two weeks, I should be expecting Silver-laced, Gold-laced, Blue, Black, Splash, Chocolate, Mauve, BBS, Chocolate, and Mauve Mottled, White, Chocolate Cuckoo, and Red large fowl English Orpingtons, Chocolate and Mauve bantam Orpingtons, Blue Partridge Brahmas, and Black Copper Marans. Oh, and one Buttercup. I set the egg for funsies to fill the tray and it's developing. There's a possibility it could be from the Isabel Crele Orpington though in which case it will be an abomination.

Geese are breeding and were playing with nest building so I separated everyone out. It seems the oldest Buff gander claimed the Pomeranian hen, and the unattached Buff hen was paired with the Pom gander. And the two Blue ganders are just sexy-time flotation devices according to the buff ganders who breed them. So two pairs of Buffs are together, the two Blues and a Buff hen are together, and the Pom pair is together. They are all furious with me.

Question for Moony, how does the Buttercup/double comb work? I've never crossed them to anything before.

Maybe they'll be like my starcomb babies?
