Split means it's carrying one copy of a gene that's not showing.Question

Ok, so what's the difference between self blue/lavender and blue?Split means it's carrying one copy of a gene that's not showing.
Self blue is lavender. Technically lavender is the name of the gene and self blue is the name of the color. Most call the gene and color lavender though.
Lavender is recessive so it takes two copies to show. When a bird has one copy it's referred to as split to lavender

They're different genes. You can have a blue bird that carries lavender, or you can have a blue bird without lavenderOk, so what's the difference between self blue/lavender and blue?
I have cookies too!
Is one orange cream?
Orange Creamsicle, Chocolate Chip, Lemon Blackberry (which got messed up when I slammed on the brakes and threw everything into the floorboard to avoid mowing over a herd of wild hoglets that were crossing the road in a single file), and a snickerdoodle one.Is one orange cream?
