Genetic Hackle Fowl. They're specifically bred for flitting capes. That picture is not a super great looking one though

BTW my little bantam "chicken little" died from a predator attack while I was at work several weeks ago.

They're very expensive, since getting the capes and necks is a terminal end. Plus most people with great stock aren't willing to sell eggs or birds to other people so that the competition isn't as fierce

I've got leghorns but they are white.

I would love to get them but I'm worried they would be a small standard size. I have terrible luck with bantam and small standard sizes with my setup.

When I open the coop they are free to roam wherever they want to go. That means the risk of predator attacks.

I started a chocolate leghorn project when I started the blues. When my barn roof exploded I lost every one I had. Would love to start over but I'd need a chocolate bird.

How did you introduce chocolate originally?
