Cross to the Phoenix to get the tail genetics and keep breeding back long tailed males to Swedish Flower females, each successive generation will be more Swedish Flower. Once you fix that, breed towards longer tails and only breed your project birds together, selecting towards long tails. Longtailed genes are fairly simple, compared to what makes up the shape and size of a breed.Since most of you understand breeding for traits. I thought I ask you all for your thoughts to my questions.
So I want to try to develop a Swedish flower hen rooster with a Phoenix tail. I don't want the small size of a Phoenix but I want to retain most of the appearance and size of a Swedish flower.
How would I go about doing this the easiest way?
