The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Most of my cockerels I've been giving away. I felt blessed the other day when I sold 4 pullets w/cockerel (Brahmas)for $80 and the other 4 Ameraucana cockerels for $10 each. She was sad to here i could be moving from the area. She bought alot of Ameraucana and EE cockerels from me.

A guy I sold to recently got in touch and wants to but Ameraucana eggs in the spring. But other than those two no sales not even for the other pullets or hens I have up. It was Brahmas I sold to the man.

Those Brahmas where for a friend who now doesn't have time to care for them and ended up moving into town where she couldn't take them with her.🫤

It's good to have something that's challenging for a hobby. I'm never going to make money doing this. I give eggs to anyone who needs them to eat. I under price birds but my thoughts on that is it saves money in the fact I'm not feeding them. I'm not sure i could ever looks a keeping chickens and breeding chickens as a money maker.

I don't want to turn my joy in to something I would consider a job.🙃

Same.
That's why I don't try to make money off of my art. It's too fun for that.
