Once I’m ready, I will snatch up any yellow legged, blue American Leghorns in a jiffy.

My ring tone used to be a rooster crowing so I did have to change that because I was continuously trying to answer it when no one was calling.

Had to run a few errands this morning so late start. Then since it rained all night I figured burn trash before chickening. Decided to burn my feed bag pile. I think there was something like 8,879 bags. That was an awesome fire.
Once I got chores done and started extras of course it started raining again. Figure it's always gonna rain so deal with it. Ya, then it started really storming and an absolute downpour for almost 3 hours.

Then that storm moved our way and we lost power at 8:00 and I have 21 eggs in the incubator at the time. Thankfully, my son got the gennie fired up and now today we have pips, so no harm done! Power came back on at 11:00 last night.

Well the good news is it's gonna be in the 90s here for the next several days. I expect with decent humidity too so if you want to set another batch you may not even need that incubator plugged in.

Same. I could have gotten a hold of a trio of Blue Andalusians very cheap the other day but I am trying not to accumulate anymore long-term projects for the moment. I figure if I focus on the Silvers, Silver Gingers, Reds, and Crele I won't get overwhelmed for now. I will maintain the Buffs and Browns pure also.

All 14 of my Silvers are doing well btw. Wild as buck deer, but healthy as horses. lol

I used to have a lot of cockerels at one point. And then pairs of roosters. They all used to have crowing battles with each other LOL right outside my dad’s window. it was horrible lol one in particular just loved to hear his own voice I think. that one was also successfully fertilizing eggs at like 3-4 months old hahahah
