The Moonshiner's Leghorns

(Hey, I'm not above begging.)

On the Silver Gingers, I’m thinking about using only the little pullet from the project (green legged), mated to one of the Silver Leghorn males. To avoid creating more silver/gold males to cull through. This would create more silver duckwing females that are yellow legged, some of which would be split for Db. I would likely only use the females from that mating, and cull the males to avoid carrying green legged genes any further. The non split for Db females could be used in the Silver line possibly, but very very carefully to avoid muddying up the line.

The split for Db females should be easily to pick out. The split Db females usually have blotchy white patches in their breast feathers.

I lost one of the Buff cockerels free ranging. Amongst a few others that are venturing too far from home. We are thinking the neighbor’s Pyrenees has acquired a taste for chicken. 😩
Oh man chicken killing dogs can do a lot of damage. Hoping this don't get ugly.
Bout done keeping up with making sure my traps are baited. Think it's probably gotta be mice eating the cat food out of them. Nothing caught after the 2nd skunk so I'll go back to setting in a couple weeks.
Did catch another large egg eating snake. Tired of those big time.
