The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Mr Moonshiner I have a question.

Do you or have you in the past "Moonshined"
What is the original inspiration for the name
No, I have never made moonshine myself. It was more of a family tradition on my dad's side that I grew up around. That ended with my grandfather and before I was 21.
I don't think it would of really been my thing but bootlegging as in running it sure could of been. Maybe it's not too late. My TB and me would make a hell of a bootlegging team. 🤔

I remember when I was in maybe 3rd grade we went to my grandparents. They had a Shetland pony that was for my brother and my grandpa had recently gotten a goat for who knows what.
He had an out building that was kind of a ramshackled shed with a lean too off the back and one side.
It was the horse's shelter, my grandpa's tool shed. Basically my grandpa's everything building. My grandma said the goat got the grain bin open and it and the pony had gotten into the grain and the pony foundered.
I didn't understand any of that so decided I'd go find out what she meant. When I walked in the horse was standing in the middle of the room with the goat standing on his back.
My grandpa was sitting on the floor paying them no mind and was filing on the trigger of a bear trap. Said he was making it hair triggered.
At the time I didn't figure out what foundered meant, why the goat was riding the horse nor why my grandpa needed a hair triggered bear trap. But what I did figure out was this was an interesting place to hang out.
I spent a lot more time there after that.

Lol, they sound cool.

Remember the "Ameraucana" Buckeye crosses that proved my blue Ameraucana was actually an Easter Egger? Well, they're mostly grown pullets now. Except we sold one of the black ones early before he/she grew up. Mom had suspicions that it was a male but I actually think we just lucked out with FOUR pullets. Ironically one of the "boring" black ones turned out to be the prettiest imo, but we'll see how the black tailed red turns out, she still needs time to finish out. Unfortunately it's hard to catch the black one's beauty (it's all in her shape and the fullness of her beard), and even harder to catch them. They're kind of wild. The blue tailed red is very pretty. And then we got one with no beard whatsoever who just looks like a messed up Buckeye to be honest. She doesn't take after her mother at all.

Apparently blue tailed red has mastered levitation techniques...

I am the queen of impulse purchases. I would have already ordered them 5 seconds after making your post. I tend to be impulsive, and I also hyperfixate. You all have met me, yes?
