The Moonshiner's Leghorns

My Muck boots that come up to just below my knees rub my shins for some reason, even with boot socks. They are a waterproof marsh type boot I think. Good for mud season but causes little red spots on my shins? 🤔
These are what I have. I don't get it because I'm not seeing any fleece lining. Maybe it's a thin layer sandwiched in-between but the upper appears the same as the tall regular boots I had.
Mine has the little nubs on the heel to push them off with and it seems the artic excusions are the only model that has that. The whole boot matches and so does the thread.
I have super short muckster IIs and their tread is very different and seems slick on some surfaces.
But anyways I always had boots like you speak of before the last pair of these and never had complaints. BUT after having these I won't have a taller pair again. These don't really sweat me (even if artics. They're tall enough, easier on and off and don't rub or anything.

I'm going to look for another pair also, as the Muck books will rub a blister on my shins if I wear them consecutive days in a row outside. We haven't been impressed with the last Muck boots we have purchased, they aren't worth the full retail price anymore. I got my son a pair last year for Christmas and by spring the bottoms were coming apart. I think the boots he has now are either Rocky or Ariatt, which have both been better brands for us. I feed the chickens in crocs in the warm months, but they are old and worn out, and VERY slick on the bottom. I have slipped and fell several times in those dang things when its muddy. I need a new pair of boots. lol

1st Exchequer hatched! 20250926_081002.jpg

A few of the chocolate project chicks have hatched. Years ago when I did a little with chocolate it was solids. This time I'm doing duckwing.
My rooster is split extended black/gold duckwing and split to chocolate. Hens are gold duckwing so in theory 50% would be duckwing and 50% females chocolate.
Rooster has red leakage in hackles so must be gold/gold. Hoping for a couple chocolate gold duckwing pullets.
A couple are duckwing so 🤞. I think it maths to 25% chance that one would be what I want. Excited to see what a chick would look like. I have an idea and wondering if it would be very noticeable. Wondering what an adult hen would look like. I think the roosters would be quite different then a GDW rooster but not sure with the hens.
Exciting stuff
