I never have enough, but enough for what?@The Moonshiner Do you have enough of the Buffs yet?
Some Buff hatching egg's. That will make me build that other coop faster.I never have enough, but enough for what?

I try not to count my chickens until spring because if you do and get excited 1/2 won't make it till spring. Some Buff hatching egg's. That will make me build that other coop faster.![]()

I know there's a minimum of 10 pullets out there so....![]()

The problem is gonna be you'll have to deal with my kid. He cut himself into 50% of my egg sells and I'd imagine he'll be taking majority control by spring. Some Buff hatching egg's. That will make me build that other coop faster.![]()
I would, but you never can tell how the other person might take it. Maybe that person doesn't hatch any of their own egg's, so they don't know how the fertility is.I need to make more shady deals behind dark gas stations! I got another batch of eggs(Marans) at another gas station but in broad daylight. Fertility is like 30 percent. Is it rude to let a breeder know that they have low fertility? I don’t want money I just want her to know in case it’s her rooster or the way she stores her eggs.
This happened with the BCMs I tried to hatch a few years ago. I had gotten eggs from the same breeder just the year before and had a great hatch rate (at least 50% but I can’t remember exactly). The next year I got ZERO out of a dozen. Some of that could have been due to hens fighting over eggs but I ended up with three chicks for the whole year (two cockerels of course) out of two dozen. The cockerel eggs were $5 a dozen. The BCM eggs were $20. I didn’t tell the breeder because of the squabbling but I probably should have.I need to make more shady deals behind dark gas stations!
