Well, I guess that I got this thread going again by asking how everyone's Christmas went. We now know who all is still here with us.

I’m still here also. Just offline for a few days. Sorry to those of you who had bad Christmases.

We got lucky, my eldest had the flu so she didn’t make it in early as planned so just DH and my youngest for church in the morning, and eldest made it in for dinner (was finally feeling better). Rest of the family was either sick or afraid of getting sick, so it was just the 4 of us for the few days she visited. Family can be overwhelming for an introvert like myself with no escape (I can deal with short spurts but like my alone time and quiet), so it was a huge blessing in disguise to have just the kids with no grandparents nieces nephews or siblings. No offense to anyone but it was soooo much more chill. Lol

I think we're gonna use the Bethlehem method after this: parents and offspring only, plus any strangers that happen to receive heavenly summons.

I was enjoying some authentic Ecuadorian food this Christmas! My family visited my boyfriend and his family and it's been wonderful. I leave tonight though, that's sad, but it has all been a blessing.

Wow that sounds so exotic and amazing!! I’m glad you all got to visit your boyfriend! I know it’s hard being apart, bless your heart. But love transcends any distance and hopefully someday you all will be together, never to be apart again. It sounds so romantic!

Oh and I got a new coat which I needed LOL I love it!!!!! And they sewed my favorite one up (it had a huge rip/tear in it). Then I got some other stuff like gift cards, pictures of the kids, noise cancelling headphones, and some cash lol

I got a coat and new work shoes also! Bought myself some ipod ibud ear pod things… whatever you call them. No cash or gift cards though!
