Tomorrow it's supposed to be 20° at this time and if it holds 9 straight days it'll reach freezing or higher. Can't wait.

What type of NP are you going to be, KF!? I see a psychiatric NP for my meds and stuff. And met with one a few times in the hospital. 😁🥰
My education was geared toward primary care and family practice, so the outpatient setting. I am a family nurse practitioner (FNP), and can see patients across the lifespan. I prefer adult and geriatrics, so in a perfect world I will find a position and specialize in those populations. I have put in a few applications and have an interview next week but honestly am in no huge hurry to change jobs until I find a really good fit.

Or because I had THREE bottles of Mtn Dew last night and one this morning with a second one in the fridge at home for later LOL I should have dumped that one out or brought it to Club to get rid of or SOMETHING LOL
I live on Mountain Dew Zero (horrible habit, I know but I work nightshift). I am currently working on cutting WAY back now that school and my exam is out of the way. The excess caffeine has been causing me to have a lot of PVCs (palpitations). 😣

Anyone else have Amazon Prime, use it and finding the shipping has really went downhill?
Used to be not long ago orders took 1- 3 days. Now not so much. I wanted to get a new space heater when that last arctic blast was headed my way. When I saw what I wanted it said arrives Sunday. That was Thursday so I went ahead and ordered it. Once I placed my order it said estimated delivery Thursday. That's when it arrived, yesterday a full 7 days. Hour after that order I ordered a couple other things. They said estimated delivery Wednesday. Just arrived, took 8 days.
Today I went to order some shark bite fittings. 2 of the 3 said Sunday delivery and the other said Monday. All said if I order in 11 hours and some odd minutes. I ate then went to place the order. Hour later and it said Monday for all 3 if ordered in 10 hours. Not a big deal so placed order. Once I did it said order placed estimated delivery Tuesday.
What happened? Prime just went up but their shipping sucks now.
I have noticed that it has went downhill also. I have had packages to get "lost," and appear stuck in limbo but never make any progress toward being delivered after shipping. Causing me to have to cancel 2 packages recently and re-order them.

I don't have Prime. I just opt for the regular free delivery which is usually about a week. But it almost always arrives within about two or three days. They better not be charging me for Prime because I never signed up for it but a lot of the boxes have a blue Prime tape on them so I'm suspicious.
I will probably cancel my prime membership and go back to regular free shipping also.

Still cold here. Feels like 4° now. Will be about 0°, -10° to -15° wind chill in the morning. Sunday morning won't be too warm but high may break 32° finally.
Bit of warm up after that. 20s overnight and 30s and 40s for highs.
That will be welcomed.
Gotta some comb damage but hadn't lost any until today or probably overnight more likely. One buff cockerel. Luckily I still have a few. And an old silver crele rooster. Got several cockerels of those but still....
It's still very cold here too. We got 6 more inches of snow yesterday and last night. It was 17° degrees yesterday and now 19° today (feels like temp is 1°). Most of the roosters have frostbite damage to their combs from the cold. We will probably dub a few soon when the worst of this arctic polar blizzard mayhem is over with.

I lost a Buff rooster also the other day. The one we turned out to free range that was producing green legged pullets. He had chosen to roost on top of a pen, despite having a nice cozy chicken house he could roost in. He looked like he had just dropped dead while he was in a roosting position. He had excellent feather and body condition, very healthy. He is the only bird we have lost so far. He was a bird I didn't mind losing because he was a cull anyway and we were going to butcher him once the weather got better.
