I bought these worm yesterday from pets at home, then came across an old thread here saying these worms can be dangerous to chickens. Any ideas on how to chopped them up, I am gagging at the thought

Are you in the UK, by chance? I believe morrio worms are what we usually call superworms in the US. They are a common feeder bug for reptiles. I can’t imagine why they would be unsafe for chickens. Broadly speaking, if a food is reptile safe it is typically safe for chickens too. I personally would just offer them to the birds whole.

Did the thread explain why they thought they were dangerous?

Hi csa. :) . The site said that these worms can actually bite them, so I gave them too a nieghbor with a reptile. I didn't want to risk hurting them in anyway. Thanks for getting back I appreciated that very much. I'm new here and just feeling my way around at the moment.
