The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Once they were a bit of ways from the group, but they were still visible from where they were, Take stopped.
“What are you going to do once we get home?” he asked her, leaning against one of the doors.
Alanna stared at him, dumbfounded. She hadn't expected that. "I...I don't know. I just...I want to see my father, but I..." She drew off, shrugging. "I want to do something. I can't just go back to the tunnels, I've been down there too long...but what can I do? I'm dead, it's not like I'll be any help with anything. What if my father doesn't even want to see me? What if he doesn't believe it's actually me?"

Take shifted his weight onto one leg, staring back at her.
“You idiot, of course he wants to see you.. but if he doesn’t believe it, I’ll knock some sense into that thick head of his” he scowled.
“Plus, I bet he knows how you died.. so you can go off and finally rest or whatever. I know he wouldn’t want you wandering anymore” his eyes broke off from Alanna and went off towards the group, primarily Blair who was by herself.

Alanna stayed silent, her gaze falling to the floor, but a smile tugged at her lips at his reassurance. "Maybe," was all she said on it, though it was anyone guess to what she was referring. But I want to go back with the druids. I want to finish my training and everything. I don't want to just...move on...
Her eyes flickered up, following his to see what he was looking at. They led to the wolf girl, to where she sat on the ground beside the bird boy as she watched his still figure carefully, pain and worry etched onto her features.
Alanna looked back at Take. "What is it with her? Why is it every time I show up or look over my shoulder, you're with her, or talking to her or worried about her? If you say she's not your girlfriend, then why are you so obsessed with her?" Sure, it was a deflect so she didn't have to talk about what she was going to do, but, as someone who couldn't stay out of other people's business, it was something she was genuinely curious about.

Take shot his gaze back at Alanna, growing defensive, “Why do you care? You totally hate her anyways and you wouldn’t understand it if I told you.” He snapped at her, his eyebrows pushing together, “And don’t use the ‘just because I’m dead’ excuse either, it has nothing to do with that” he added sharply. He responded this way because of how Alanna had been treating Blair all this time, it just set him off.

"I wouldn't hate her if she wasn't such a snob. She acts like she owns everybody and like she can tell everybody what to do. It's not cool." Alanna's brows raised, her arms crossing. "I'm just curious, if you must know. I just see the way you look at each other, and I just didn't know why you don't tell her. I mean, I personally don't like her, I think she's too bossy and rude, but she's nice to you, so..." She shrugged, glancing Blair, before looking away quickly. The werewolf had raised her head, looking through the doorway, before looking away. "Sorry for prying. I was just curious, y'know. I didn't mean it to be...cruel or whatever."

Take sighed, closing his eyes and staying quiet before speaking.
“I’ll tell you this, I already did and she says it wouldn’t work between us, that’s it.” he explained, flicking his eyes open. “Besides, I’m not experienced in this dating thing.. so”

Alanna gave a huff of either dissapointment or disbelief, she couldn't make up her mind. "Can't help you there. Never dated anyone." She gave another shrug, glancing down the hallway. "I do hope it works out for you though, Take. I don't like her, but you're a good guy, and I hope it works for you two. Or with someone else."
She replied, her tone genuine. "Call for me if you need help. I'll be around," she smiled, before she flickered and vanished.

Take didn’t give her a reply, and once she vanished, he took a moment to himself as he thought about what Alanna said.
I’m already past all this.. it isn’t meant to be.
He scratched the back of his head, then made his way back to the rest of the group, strangely quiet.

Blair was sitting uncomfortably on the ground beside Kipp, watching him intently in case he woke. She looked up at the soft thudding of footsteps, seeing Take enter back into the room. He was quiet, and he had a look on his face she couldn't quite decipher. What did she say to him? If she insulted him or...or said something hurtful, I'll...
Her thoughts scattered. She didn't know what she'd do, but the thought made a wave of protectiveness wash over her that she couldn't quite crush down, even if she wanted to. She just watched him as he entered the room, though, staying completely still and silent where she sat, before she dropped her gaze back to Kipp.

Take went and sat on the other side of Kipp. He observed that some of their other people in the group had come down and joined them. Especially those he hadn’t really interacted with: Fox and Colby.
He rested his chin on his hand, “So what are we going to do now?” he yawned, his top eye peering over at Kyle. Now that they weren’t being attacked by bugs, they could finish this quest.
