The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Ellie’s eyes flew to the sky. Her heart pounded. She saw some others streak into the forest. “I’m going to take my chance in there” she muttered before running after the group. “Hello?!” She shrieked looking around. Next to her a tree root moved “hhhhheeeelllllppppp” she screamed as she bolted straight. You see the thing with Ellie’s lasers is they can only be controlled if she is calm. Ellie whipped around wildly glaring at the tree root. The force of the laser sent her flying backwards. The tree root wrapped around her middle dangling her upside down. “Uh Guys? I might need some help” she called

Fred looked up his jaw dropping “whoa...” he said in awe. His brain started calculating wildly “we have approximately 0.8 seconds before they arrive on top of us. We better pic fast”
*locusts land on Fred because it took him exactly 1 second to say that*

“Sure.”
Rylie’s tail whipped back and forth, but his eyes quickly fixated on a new target as Kyle put his hand in his home made pocket. “He knows that’s where the food is,” Kyle explained, shoving a treat in Rylie’s jaws.
“Sooo... doughnuts or cat treats?” Kyle asked, brandishing a piece of pastry. He wasn’t sure what budgie’s liked better, or whether your taste changed depending on your shape.
"Cat treats, if you can restrain your beast." She hopped towards the cat, her stomach growling.

“GUYS?!” Ellie shouted

Clary watched as a swarm of bugs flew towards them. She didn’t know if she should stay with the bugs and potentially be eaten, or go into the forest and get hurt or killed. Normally she would’ve stayed with the bugs, but she didn’t want to be abandoned. She followed the group into the forest, pausing when she heard screaming. She shook her head and kept walking, doing her best to ignore it seeing as there were a few young kids who screamed at everything.

Take heard Ellie’s yell, she was captured once again. He ran over to where the root took hold of her and launched himself, ripping the root off her torso with his bare hands. The locusts were starting to catch up to them, some landing on the trees and disintegrating them. He made sure Ellie landed safely, and shielded her from the locusts that were swarming past them.

Kyle raised his eyebrows. No one had ever passed down one of Laurel's donuts before. Her loss. As the bird came closer, Rylie's tail twitched dangerously and Kyle began to wonder whether he had just heard the bird's stomach growl. Isn't that... not possible? Don't bird's have like multiple stomachs?
Kyle put the donut piece in his mouth and chewed it quickly, before his conscience could convince him that she needed it more.
"Here. Rylie... do not make another attempted consumption of Haddie."
Kyle waved a needle-point thin finger in the cat's face while grabbing a handful of cat treats out of his endless pockets. (There was too much space in those pants for his stick legs... he must make use of them somehow.)
He threw the cat treats at the bright blue bird before wrestling Rylie's muzzle shut in order to prevent his immediate seizure of either the treats or the bird.

Cam had absolutely no words for how frightened she was. She shoved her dark face into her knees, so that only her hair could be seen. But I should have known I was getting into this.
Oh please.
This is just a dream. What part of any of this makes sense? Why else would there be a nightmarish blur of reality?

It had to be a dream. Why else would the trees around her bow at her power, creating a barrier against the din of a million hungry insects? I'd be deaf by now. I'm not this powerful.
Or maybe there's magic in the air.

It sounded silly, but by now just about everything seemed possible.
And there did seem to be something powerful around her, something she could draw on. Maybe everyone else is feeling more powerful as well.
Maybe we really
are the chosen ones, finding our full potential.
Or maybe I'm just delusional.
