The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Take smirked and snorted at her reply, “Nice attitude Tinkerbell, I’m Take” (also, it’s pronounced TAH-Kay if anyone wanted to know XD)

Take turned his attention away from Annie and realized what Kyle had said. He scowled, “Hahh?? Gigantic bugs..?” He said in disbelief.
Annie grinned up at him shrugging. "Nice to meet ya."

Brid’s head was spinning from the tiny man’s speech and the many confusing people who kept appearing, and she was slowly beginning to grow frustrated. Finally she couldn’t stand it anymore. “Everyone be quiet for a second!” She burst out, striding closer to the little guy. “You! You’re trying to say that this group-” She gestured at the motley crew gathered “-is comprised of the ‘chosen ones,’ and we’re all now stuck in Missouri to fight an army of enormous BUGS?!” She took a deep breath to calm her racing heart and continued. “And magical super-old stones teleported us here?” She held up the stone in her hand and shook it in bewilderment. “Are you sure you didn’t just kidnap us? I’d love to go on a magical adventure but this is the weirdest one I’ve ever heard of and I’m 99% sure that magical adventures don’t start in random coffee shops in Missouri.” Breathing quickly, she became suddenly aware of the silence in the room and quieted when she realized what a scene she was making, feeling her cheeks burn red in embarrassment. “Sorry. I just-Forget it.” Backing off a bit, she stared into the floor and wondered what had got into herself. “Sorry about that.” She mumbled quietly.
Annie took a step back away from the loud curly haired girl. She did have a point though this was a completely ridiculous situation to be in. She could still taste the yeasty bread remnants in her mouth. And some how she had been zipped from her door to no-where-ville Missouri and now she was expected to be an exterminator. She couldn't help but wonder what a can of Raid would do to her, seeing as how she was part bug.
“Where am I?” She glared menacingly burning a hole in the wall. “What do you want with me?” Her eyes flashed “soz I guess introductions are in order, I’m Ellie”
Annie smiled kindly at the new girl, or the newest girl anyway it seemed more were showing up every second. "No one really knows yet." She whispered. "I'm Annie. We are apparently in Missouri."

After having awoken to the blaring screech of her alarm clock, Blair dressed as quickly as possible, and headed downstairs, two steps at a time. "Morning, Mom," she greeted as she passed her mother, snatching a piece of toast from the table on her way by.
"Good morning, Blair." He mother smiled, and when Blair was about to speak again, a ginger and white dog came sliding through the dog-door, barking at her owner.
"Hello, Kit!" Blair grinned, beckoning her dog to follow her, and tossing open the cabinet, and carelessly grabbing a bag of dog food to pour it in the dog bowl atop the counter.
A sudden clunk caught her attention, and she swallowed the rest of her toast quickly. A stone was sitting in Kit's food, a blue gem, just sitting there and glowing. "What the-!?" She cursed softly under her breath, lifting the stone.
And she fell.
She felt like she was spinning and falling and then she landed with a sharp thud, a yelp echoing beside her. She fell to her knees, clutching the stone. She threw her head back, glancing around her. Instead of her normal, light colored countertop and large open windows of her kitchen, she was in a café.
Or something of that sort.
Surrounded by people.
Including a tiny, tiny little man with a cat.
She scrabbled to her feet, realizing Kit was beside her, blinking. She grabbed the dogs collar with one hand, glancing around, eyes narrowed. "Alright," she growled. "Someone kindly explain where I am and why I am here and how the heck I got here?"

Fox skipped down the stairs, backpack thrown over his shoulder. "I'm going to school, Dad, alright? See you soon."
Per usual, his father, sitting in an armchair in the living room, only replied with a half-hearted grunt. Fox lowered his head, sighing, before heading out the door. Stepping out onto the steps, closing the door, he headed down them quickly, and promptly tripped, just missing smashing his face into the concrete path way. He stood, dusting his clothes, shaking the ache from his arm. Then a blue stone, glowering below his feet, caught his eye.
Bending, he snatched it up, staring at it, only to realize he felt like he was falling again, and then landed neatly. Almost instantly, crashing waves of anxiety and confusion and anger flowed over him, and only then did he realize he was in a small coffee shop, surrounded by many people. "W-what the-?"
Just after introducing herself for the second time more people popped into existence, another demanding to know who everyone was and where they were. She realized that at this point it would just be silly to keep saying the same thing over and over so she just kept quiet. Smiling and shrugging and waving awkwardly at them.

Annie grinned up at him shrugging. "Nice to meet ya."

Missouri?!” Ellie whispered frantically “I’m supposed to be sitting exams back in Virginia!!!” She looked at the other girl “the names Ellie if you missed it before like most people”. Ellie did not enjoy being ignored

“..bugs? Wow, you’re right, that does sound stupid.” Clary said. “Okay, I’ll bite. What kind of bugs? And how big are we talking, like, big big or I’m a tiny person big?” She paused. “Wait a minute, did you say Missouri? Great. Out of all states, Missouri is the last place I wanted to visit.”

Clary glanced at the girl who just sat down next to her. She watched as she pulled a chicken-Petunia- out and put it on her shoulder. “Hi,” she said, and then turned her attention back to Kyle.

Kipp peeked out of his corner at the chicken. What kind of coffee shop is this? There isn't even anyone to hand out coffee, and now a random chicken pirate girl? And giant bugs, I'm no 'chosen one'. This is all too crazy to be real, besides I live in California not Missouri. He shook his head refusing to believe any of this was real.

"Yeah," Cam said. She was now sitting down in a booth near the back, gladiolus and daffodils spread across the table. Her gentle Ohio accent was obvious, "I'm all for the Midwest and all, but you just picked the second least interesting one out there."
"Also, why Missouri? Why couldn't people come to my house? I mean I live in Hawaii, so it's a lot nicer." Aria asked, an odd look on her face.
"Because that's where the mother amulet is! It's kinda stationary!" Kyle tried to explain.
“Why would you want strangers at your house?” Clary asked. She never understood the people that always invited people they didn’t know well into their houses. To her it seemed weird. “Besides, we couldn’t go to your house, we don’t know where you live.”

"Calm down, people," this voice was deeper, louder, fuller than Kyle could ever make his own. A man, now standing over the counter scanned the room, curling his lip as his eyes passed over the girl with an ocean blue tee with silvery script written across the front, a chicken hanging off her shoulder. "Save the whales," he read. "Kyle?" he asked. "Where is my giant?"
Kyle muttered something under his breath about giant roosters being quite distracting.
"In fact, I expected a lot more adults in this room."
"You never can discount children and their curiosity," Kyle pointed out in a quiet voice, barely audible. Then he raised his voice. "Maybe we didn't pick the kids. Maybe the amulets did!"
"That sounds stupid," Will said. "Stuff like that only happens in fairy tales."
Kyle just nodded, mute.
"Now, I suppose you all want some introductions," Will Laurel said. He ran his finger along the rim of his shaded glasses. "I'm Will Laurel, and that there is Kyle Beck."

Colby stared at his rain gauge in dismay. The water was emitting a neon blue glow from some opaque mass nestled at the bottom of it. Was this the remnants of some decaying bioluminescent creature unlucky enough to plummet to its demise by an inch of water?
He'd come out here with five minutes of borrowed time from his walk to school and he'd have to run as it was. Now, just his luck, there was an oddity in his garden that needed to be addressed. This was why he kept a neat schedule; one that assured he'd be in class at a comfortable time and far out of Mrs. Brumby's warpath.
He got lower on his knees and gripped the plastic tube with a paw, then began to twist it free of the soil, careful not to inflict any damage to the fragile pepper seedlings nearby. Once he'd removed it, he flipped it over onto his right paw. It wasn't the sudden drenching that his palm got that had him flinch, but rather the pulsating blue gem that plopped out.
And then, after a good amount of nauseating contradictions to gravity, he was in a coffee shop. Further, an immensely crowded coffee shop that radiated uncertainty and tension from every possible angle.
Run, run, lost boy, they say to me, away from all the reality.
Ears flattened back against his skull, he stood there aimlessly, but he almost had to crack a smile at his airpods' sense of humor. He'd definitely done some evasion of reality.

“I’m Brigid, but you can call me Brid if you’d like,” She piped up, glad that this ordeal finally seemed to be going somewhere. Squinting a bit, she was studying the man, Will Laurel, when a short fox boy appeared next to her. Letting out a slight yell before clapping her hand over mouth, she closed her eyes. “Ohmygoshthatscaredmetodeath,” she gasped, opening her eyes again and looking at the fox kid. “Hi...” her voice cracked a bit.

This girl -Brigid- seemed nice enough, especially with her pretty sunflower blouse. Anyone who appreciated plants was already decent in his book.
Smiling out of the corner of his muzzle, Colby offered a tentative wave of acknowledgement. He was still too overwhelmed to offer a verbal greeting and his eyes continued to widen as his attention wandered through the motley gathering.

Blair glanced around, noticing the cat that the tiny little man was leaning against leapt back, hissing. Also a boy with tawny colored hair and odd eyes and a fox-boy materilized out of nowhere. "Alright, Will Laurel—" Just when she was about to go off on him, Kit gave a soft growl, tugging at her jeans.
Resting a hand on top of the dogs neck, threading her fingers into the soft fur, she tossed her hair around one shoulder, clearing her vision. "I don't really care for introductions. In fact, the only thing I want to know is why I am here, and not in my kitchen."
