The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Clary ducked as an eagle swooped down, the birds wings almost hitting her in the face. She stopped, panting. She was never knew how fast cats could run. She looked up in time to see a strange cat shifting into a human. “Woah,” Clary breathed. She still wasn’t used to seeing people shift, even though she was friends with a shifter. She watched as a few people continued forward, and then looked down at Kyle. She shrugged, and followed the group of people still going forward, keeping a small distance between herself and them so she wouldn’t accidentally bug them, and because she didn’t know if they were dangerous.

Kipp looked up to see how far ahead Take had run. Nope. He's gone. And someone else has joined us? He thought giving the taller blond a sideways glance. Another girl whos name I don't know.

"Hi," Was all he could think to say. What am I gonna call her? He thought for a few moments before deciding what he'd call her in his head. "Blondy will do I guess." He muttered out loud unintentionally.

(Clary called Take ‘Pinkie’ so it seems fair :gig)

“Hey,” Clary responded. “You don’t mind if I follow you guys, do you?” She asked, speeding up a bit. She raised an eyebrow, the corner of her lip tugging up into a smile. “My name is Clary, but blondy works too. What’s your name?” She asked.

"Who are you?" A slightly breathless voice was all that could be heard as people stared at the strange woman. Cameron bent over to look at her. Even human, the woman with the frizzy red hair and tattered clothing seemed almost animal, in a crouch that seemed to show that she felt exposed. This was still intimidating for Kyle, however, who strangely did not feel like a cornered mouse while she was in cat form but did now. Maybe it was the way she talked.
Yeah that was it.
"Do you have a blue stone thingie?" Kyle's eyes went to her fingers where a blue stone was still clutched. "Well you just got chosen for a mission to fight bugs."
I certainly didn't choose a crazed redhead though. She must've picked it up herself.
"What?" she hissed, but was interrupted as her stomach growled angrily. She growled back. All of the shifting was starting to get to her. "Fine, I'll help, but only because I'm hungry." she muttered. She'd need to be sparing about shifting until she could eat again.
Annie flew trying to keep pace with Kyle. A cat could go pretty quickly when it wanted to. She hadn't heard the eagle approaching, its wings more suited to hunting silently than her own. She narrowly avoided the blur of feathers as it zoomed by, slipping sideways into a mid-air cartwheel, and crashing into the ground.

She laid there still for a moment, assessing her injuries, she was surprised nothing seemed to hurt. I'll probably feel it tomorrow though. She thought to herself. She looked over to see what it was that had cut her off. A much older woman than the rest of the group. She looked pretty angry, and had no wings at all. How was she flying then? She wondered frowning at her weird 4 legged pose. Maybe she wasn't flying. Maybe she was just falling. Annie looked up into the sky, there didn't seem to be any airplanes. She shrugged it off, some of the other people had rough 'landings' with the transport, maybe this girl had just been higher than everyone else. It would explain the wild look on her face. I can't imagine how I'd feel falling from the sky with no wings.

Annie popped up on to her feet and walked over.

"Hi! I guess you must have gotten zapped here too. My name's Annie, what's yours? Where are you from?" She asked cheerfully holding out her hand to greet the woman who if she'd been standing would have been too tall to properly shake her hand, so it was kind of convenient that she just happened to be at eye level with her.
Haddie looked up at the girl. So happy. She reached up and took the proffered hand.
"Haddie." she muttered. "Name's Haddie." She withdrew her hand, taking in the group of teens. She didn't have much energy left; if she was going to shift to eat some bugs, she needed to do it now. She stood up, strode to the edge of the group, and shifted into a black bear. Time to find something to eat. (I figured black bears will eat just about anything)

(ahahah, ohh, poor Kipp getting dragged along.)

Kipp couldn't hold back an exhausted grimace when she called him. He put a hand on his stomach and skirted around the new person wider than he needed to.
"Ok?" He huffed "Sure." He briefly looked back at the rest of the group. They'll catch up.
"You guys know where we're going right." (we can pretend LB's post fits right here.) He frowned, his earlier conclusion that the 3 of them were there to be the groups flashlights popping back in to his head. They should be fine that... His thoughts stopped and he stared at his feet as the thudded one after the other in the grass, trying to decide what he'd call her. That...fox... Foxy... girl..? sure why not. They'll be fine with that foxy girl with them, she can see in the dark in her animal form. And Kyles cat, and that new girl... plenty of others with night vision. They'll be fine.

Take halted, hearing Blair’s faint call. He turned towards her and the group, “I’m tired of waiting. Kyle said for us to go straight, and that’s what I’m doing.” he shouted, his tone consumed by annoyance.

“And I’m sure I can handle whatever is out there. Dangerous or not” he assured with a slight smile and eyebrow raise before turning away and running forward.
"Take!" Blair's yell echoed farther then she intended, but she didn't quite care. "Hang on, Kipp. I'll be right back, I have to drag this idiot back before he gets lost."
Sparing Kipp a quick glance, she took off after Take. She didn't care if he had had a head start, she was already gaining on him.
She swerved sharply to avoid a tree, and though she was right on his heels, his speed surprised even her. "You need to stop!" She called, faltering in her steps as she came to a stop. "You don't even know where you're going! You need to wait for Kyle!"

Brid looked up as Kyle and Rylie whizzed away past her, the others following. “I guess it’s time to go,” she said absentmindedly to Fox, straightening and beginning to move after the group, her eyes practically glowing with all the new sights and sounds. She stopped to wait for him and Colby, suddenly realizing that she didn’t see the Charlie guy anywhere.
Colby, on an entirely different mental plane, turned back to Stonehenge every few seconds, savoring the surreal scape as long as he could. He could outpace everyone -with the likely exception of the nice fox-shifter when she was in her fox skin- but he wanted nothing more than to be the tail end of the group.
And he was seriously accomplishing that at the aimless rate he was going.

(I’ll have Take disappear for a bit.)

"N-" he reached to grab Blairs arm to keep here there with them but she sprinted out reach. His cheeks flushed red and he looked away from Clary. "Y-you can come with. We're all going to the same place anyway right. Uhh, I'm Kipp." Blair had just said his name, but what else was he supposed to say?
