The Most Dangerous Coffee Shop- A Role Play

Ellie started to panic. Surely when they get back to a group they’ll notice I’m missing. She thought. Then it hit her “I can break the trees” she whispered. She flung herself aimlessly at the undergrowth. It was like a ball throwing her back each time.
Ellie slumped to her knees “it’s hopeless” she said sadly.

Haddie sniffed at Cam. She nuzzled under her arm and pushed her head under it. She may have been adverse to physical touch, but she knew that sometimes one needed some fuzzy cuddles to calm down.
While Rylie hungrily lept and the two treats remaining...
"Augh!" This time the terror was real!
Cam stumbled away from the raccoon, tripping her own feet and falling back into the mud. Why do I have to be so stupid clumsy?
"It's just Haddie!" Kyle's squeaky voice called up. "Now calm down before you trample me!"
Cam's tranquil circle of trees had been killed while she had been sitting there, and the huge, fat locusts were now moving on into the forest more slowly, but still hungrily.
The deafening roar of their buzzing was back.
How long have I been sitting there?
Nonetheless, she pushed further in, unsure of where else to go.
It was possible that the darkness was even more eerie with so many dead and demolished trees.

“Hey cheer up sweet pea” A very faintly familiar voice startled Ellie. “Dad?!” She gasped “noooo this isn’t-this isnt possible. Y-your dead!” “And your point?” Her Dad asked. “D-Does that mean I’m dead too?” Ellie asked. “No” he grinned and clicked his heels, “then how...” Ellie trailed off sceptically her eyes widened “Magic.” He laughed. “Sweet pea I’m not sure how to get you out of here buuuttt try your powers. There is a reason you are who you are Ellie” he said “I have to go sweetie. I love you”. “No! Wait! Daddy don’t go!” She cried. “Ellie. Ellie Listen. I’m never truely gone. I may not be touchable, I may not be seen but I live. In here.” He touched her heart. “Ok.. I can do this” she said, “thanks dad”. He disappeared. “Take!” She shouted.

That didn't work. At least she's not paralyzed anymore. Haddie sniffed at Cam. She started following her, snagging some of the straggling locusts as she went. Mmm, juicy.

Take stared down at the younger version of himself. The three-eyed boy started to breathe rapidly, he looked down at his hands. They were trembling.

Then he started to yell.

It was full of anger and pain, it ringed in Take’s ears.

Take slowly started to ease out of his paralysis, he understood what was going on. He reached out for the younger version of him and grabbed his shirt. The boy stopped and looked at him, raising his fist at Take. Before he could do anything, Take took him into a tight embrace.

The kid gasped and immediately started to yell again, punching and kicking Take, his temperature beyond exceeded his own. Take held on, wincing from all the strikes. He let out a choked, “Stop” through his teeth and the kid stopped.

“Listen, kid. If you keep on like this, you’re gonna end up all alone. Use your strength for something else.. For kindness. Become a cool guy who has lots of friends, a guy who the girls go crazy for.”

The younger him let out a quiet, weak voice, “What are you talking about.. how can I ever be something like that?”

Take released him from his embrace and placed his hands on the boys shoulders, looking him in the eyes. He grinned, “You gotta struggle, if you try hard to be nice to people. Then one day, you’ll be like that.”

The boy stared at him, wide eyed in awe. He was no longer angry or sad. Just calm.

Take told his younger self something he wished his former foster parents had told him. They never reassured or guided him, and that’s how he ended up like this. Although he was slightly bitter, he had a heart.

Kyle leapt upon Rylie’s back when he was done eating the two cat treats.
Rylie hissed at the raccoon (who smelled suspiciously of human) who had eaten the juicy bird, and some of his treats, but decided that her presence was generally acceptable and loped after her, his mood vastly improved by the food. He was still feeling peckish, however, it had been a long walk, and he decided to follow the raccoon’s lead.
He ran ahead of the raccoon and pounced on a locust, pinning it to the ground. Crunch, crunch.
A stray wing was still stuck to his jaws as Kyle struggled to lead him back into a straight line.
There wasn’t any path, of course, and there was nothing to confirm that he was even going in the right direction. However, he was thankful for the locusts, who if anything, had only been a boon in their mission to find the stone obelisk thingy. He wished they could be a bit more quiet about it, though. Rylie’s sensitive ears were pressed to his skull.

“Cam! Kyle! Can anyone hear me?!” She yelled

Just then, the younger version of Take fell apart, turning into a pile of sticks and twigs.

Take blinked, and he wasn’t in the clearing anymore. He was amongst the barren trees again, and he couldn’t see any tunnel-like canopy.
He felt something in his hand, and lifted it up to his eyes, opening it.

It was three burnt locusts.

What’s going on? I thought.. I dropped these..

Take glanced around, he couldn’t see Ellie anywhere.

Was that an illusion or something?

“Hey! Is anybody out there?” He shouted.
