This may be an odd question but I was just watching Mulan with my kids and we all started wondering what kind of chickens that were running round the farm yard adn temple were. White with a red face and black tail and wing tips.

As I said, an odd thing to wonder at but then, us chicken obsessed folks are like that - lol.

It's just a cartoon, so the look they chose to give the chickens could have come from anywhere. A picture on the web, an advertisement, there's just no telling. Shape wise, they bear no resemblance to Japanese bantams. They have the Colombian color pattern, and I imagine they look more like Colombian Plymouth rocks than anything else.
