-The Mythics RP-

"Wilroc told me you were leaving, but not why. I wanted to visit you anyway, and - wait, you look really tired. What's wrong?"

(@Blue Raptor)
Alayna rubbed her eyes. “I didn’t get much sleep last night,” she said tiredly. She stepped to the side of the door to allow the girl the chance to come inside. “You can come in if you want,” she said politely.
(I have to go @Blue Raptor , see you tomorrow)
Aight.

Jintao played with the dagger that was in his pocket. He flipped it over a couple of times before letting out a long sigh. He thought about the scout Nautalis claimed to had taken care of. "Maybe I want to be oblivious," he said after awhile. "If I'm oblivious," his tone rose a little as he remembered the predicament he was in. "Then I can't get caught in a lie because I'm trying to help someone."
"Oblivious doesn't amend anything, Jintao. It hightens the issue. Anyway." She smoothed the crusty dress with a quick exhale. "Keep walking."

this insufferable young woman
I know, I know, I hate her, too

She's even more nippy than I thought.
The siren stared at the shadows outlined in the bars of moonlight from beneath the dock, irritated that her subtle attempt to get the human's attention had been completely ignored in the heat of their argument.
Nautalis drifted back into the shallows, listening attentively to their little dispute. She pulled herself a few more feet through the water with her hands, gripping the sand to keep herself from being shoved about by the restless waves.
She hated that Jintao was already proving her wrong. He was supposed to be a fugitive or a criminal, not a sad sap trying to get by in life and help other people who didn't deserve it. Nautalis had suspected from their talk in the tavern that he wasn't really a troublemaker. She'd been hoping for a pirate or thug- someone who was a threat to the Rebellion or someone she could manipulate to finish her mission. No, he had to go and be a lost young man caught between his own misery and the dull consciousness of this insufferable young woman.
The siren remained where she was, silent, still focused on the pair.

Jintao didn't say another word. All he did was continue walking. He looked away from Tay, upset. Being oblivious may not amend things, but he felt as though it helped things. He had told her what he was in the alley the day they met in a slip of the tongue, but somehow she had completely missed it.
The docks creaked and the ships swayed with the rising sun. Soon it would be up, and with no signs of Nautalis, Jintao began questioning if he was fooled yet again.

Bruh where exactly are they going?

(Sorry. I might quite litteraly be the worst to RP with. I wish I could help support the story more.)

Jintao is looking for Nautalis who is supposed to be here.

(So far you seem to be doing fine, so I wouldn't say that.)

Ah, you two are done, yes? Finally.
A few minutes of silence passed as Nautalis followed them, moving back into the deeper water and away from the boardwalk, into the open. The tide had continued to rise, deepening the shallows further, softening the waves as it reached its peak. The air had brightened considerably fast from the marching dawn, already igniting the scattered fog and growing the silver haze over the harbor.
The siren ducked her head quickly beneath the surface, the sounds of the docks muffling again, drowned by the loud sound of splashing as she scooped a wave of the dark water with a strong tail, snapping it up toward the humans again. Impatience robbing her of her subtlety.

Tay stepped back, snapping her head to the side. "Better know how to use a knife, pal." She half tripped on the the skirt of her dress, receeding into the shadows.
The box knife prodded against her side, safe in the liner of her black waistband.
