(Thisāll be it for a minute, Iāve got a BirdTober drawing to work on.)
(Aye, good timing, I had to step away for a Bible study anyway)
Raven stood silently on deck, leaning on the railing. He relished the cool breeze that blew in from the sea as it gently tussled his dark hair. One glove in hand, he absentmindedly picked at a particularly splintery place on the wood with his claws. He breathed deeply and found comfort in the briny scent that filled his senses. Comfort, however, was replaced my amusement and a small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. How ironic it was that he should feel at home in a place such as this. The root of all his problems. Fate was a cruel thing and it created cruel people. He just so happened to be one of the chosen ones. How lucky. How incredibly lucky.

Vhanya kicked her heels back onto the desk, āyesā be up before the sun tomorrow. Weāre to make good time, and I expect punctuality.ā
"Of course."
The Quartermisstress swept out of the cabin with a flourish, wingtips caressing the ground.
The glow of a lantern hanging against the mizzen mast illuminated the haze of the main deck before her, casting an ominous light on the inky boards. The
Quicksilver had fallen dark startlingly fast in the short time she'd been in Vhanya's quarters, and as the door clicked shut behind her, it swallowed with it the streaming light from the cabin.
A cloak would have done some good right now, she grumbled inwardly, rubbing her exposed arms with tense, slow movements.
Through the muffling fog, her sense whispered and jabbed in the direction of the quarterdeck's guard railing, familiar.
She thought to take off and alight in the direction the sense pulled her, but decided against it, for once, reserving herself away from direct intimidation. The chill had turned biting, and she wanted her wings closer to fight against it.
She approached the dark figure with slow, firm steps, holding caution. Her wings wrapped about her like an elegant shawl, the bends arching close to her head protectively.
"Raven, wasn't it?"
Her curiosity threatened to overcome her, but the alarm of danger sounding from her sixth sense stopped her from coming within five feet of the strange crewmate.
"Captain wants us all awake bright and early. I suggest you retire for the night. I don't want any heavy eyes when we set off tomorrow."
