“ Hello there again!” Adeen saw Claura come up the hill. “Welcome!” She led her friend’s horse into the small shed she kept her own horse in.

Claura handed Adeen her basket. "Thank you for having me." She held her sewing bag with both hands like it was something dear. "Shall we eat or work on your dress first?"

“Why don’t we work on the dress first. It might take some time.” She took the basket and brought it inside the house. “I’m assuming I will start needing to wear a corset? I haven’t done that in years. “

"Yes. I have extras if you don't have one." Claura set her bag down on the table. "I didn't bring any of my dresses today." She pulled out her fabric measure. "I will take down your size and do the sewing work at my place."

"Not too bad..." Claura replied. Not too good either. Boy, she's fat! "I should have a dress that will fit you perfect," she said with a smile. She folded up her tape measure and put it back in her bag. "It's my pretty blue dress. I don't think you have seen it yet. I think it'll look darling on you."

The two headed over to the trunk, where Adeen held all of her old belongings that were now much useless. Maybe in the future they would be used again, but not until then.
“I’ll take that.” Adeen snatched a half-finished sampler from the top of the trunk. She had clearly overlooked the fact it was there.
