-The Mythics RP-

Pics
Name: Lupin
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Species: Werewolf
Physical Appearance: When human, she is taller and stockier than average, with strong arms and a robust build. She has long red-brown hair, usually pulled back in an intricate ponytail. She is proud of her appearance and makes efforts to look nice, but often ends up muddy and sweaty from hunting runs through the forest. She has unique sage-green eyes, slightly sharper-than-average canines, and strong, thick fingernails. (As a wolf, she is also very large and strong, with thick reddish-brown fur, a luxurious tail, and green eyes. She has bigger paws and a short snout, plus a wide chest and large lungs for running long distances.)
Personality: She has a HUGE temper and a strong sense of justice. Often, if she is lied to, she will explode with anger. She's a sincere person, and never lies or cheats. However, this often gets her into trouble, because she doesn't withhold her werewolf status. She also is very strong, able to lift heavy weights and items, and prefers her fists over any other weapon.
Backstory (optional): Lupin was bitten very young by a rogue werewolf, and was thrown out by her parents when they discovered. She now lives in the forest, where she hunts, fishes, and traps the creatures there. She will also trade/sell items she acquires in the forest (including food she has caught). Several times over the years, she has run into her mother and father, who have never recognized her, and she typically will do something out of spite to them (the rare occasion she will act unkindly unprovoked.) She is talented in the smithy but does not enjoy it, and her favorite place is the thick forest and the endless sea, for reasons no one seems to understand. (Wolf+ocean= ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) (although wolves are AMAZING swimmers)
Accepted!
Welcome Eri! :D

Maybe you can rp with @Crestcrazy2 ’s character when he shows up again? He has a werewolf too.

She took the stairs, decending to the small, stinking ground. Seaweed marred the shore, a product of recent rains.
Folks would hail them to a table if they walked out in front of the short tavern. They did not need to sneak in. A statement could be made here and safety maintained.
"Calm down." She said as they walked the beach, approaching the lights and dull voices. "You caught sight of one tag-along, and now," she waved her hand towards his form in a careless gesture, "you are tight. Relax. You're composure in more easily read than a book."
And since that was true, she could tell that it wasn't only the tag-along forcing on him an air of anxiety.
Shadow lurking dancers... never heard that one before.
The young man was radiating with tension, his pace suddenly uneven, head on a swivel as he glanced anxiously back across the dark pier.
Nautalis slid beneath the ancient railing lining the boardwalk, gripping the rough wood and swinging over the edge of the weathered planks. She felt carefully for footholds among the crusted supports of the dock, descending to the soft sand beneath and dropping silently the last couple of feet to the ground.
The sounds of the boots on the wood echoed loudly from beneath, moonlight providing faint shadows that followed the noise, silhouetting beneath the gaps in the planks. The ocean wind gusted sharply, flipping chunks of dried seaweed up on end like tiny flags weighted by the sand.
The pair descended the stairs to the shore, the young woman's voice swept away by the crisp breeze wafting off the frigid water. Nautalis clung to the shade of the boardwalk, assuming- or hoping- that the moonlight off the sand would provide enough of a glare to mask her from sight. They were aware of her presence now, to some extent, but they'd made the mistake of coming closer to the water. The familiar feeling of damp sand was steadily building to her confidence.

"Yeah," Jintao huffed. He peered back to the broadwalk. As far as he could tell, the follower was nowhere to be seen. He took a deep breath. "I suppose you're right, but as far as relaxing, I'm not so sure how that'll go." He opened the tavern for Tay. The cheers of drunken sailors filled the air and provided a momentarily feeling of security for Jintao. This was something he had once enjoyed being around until he had quit drinking.

The space was tight, cramped with sun-stained flesh and wrinkled eyes. She made way to the bar.
This was the slums, she thought, but they had a good time.
A dark fellow leaned in his chair as she passed, and he gave her a short nod of greeting. She moved past him but his voice called to her back. "Got a man, now, Jordan?"
Her feet tottered as she turned, squinting in the yellow glare of light. "What's that?" She leaned close and pushed her fingers into the crook of his shoulder.
"I say have you got a man, now?"
"No." She glanced up. "Yes. My name isn't Jordan, you oaf."
"Right, Lyra." His young, cracked lips broke further in smile. "Looking for work?"
"What?"
"You need work?"
"Sure."
"Come back and we'll talk."
"Sure."
She pulled away, squaring her shoulders, eyes reading through the smaug of good party.

Nautalis cursed under her breath, watching the door to the tavern shut through narrowed eyes, the amber glow from the building dimming as it did.
The thundering roll of the ocean droned endless, the night empty and undisturbed from outside. She stood motionless, still within the shadow of the boardwalk, letting the moments pass as she turned this new development over in her mind.
No matter. They were seeking shelter in the crowd, the common instinct of humans to melt into the masses for protection. Not realizing they were only cornering themselves.
The seconds continued to stretch on, she slowly tilted her head, gazing unfocused at the ground in front of the tavern, lost running deep in thought.
She'd let some time pass- let them feel safe. Another commoner entering the tavern at no specific time, especially not directly after them, was not worth much notice.
Nautalis slowly started toward the pub, gradually picking up her pace to a steady stride as the cloud of thoughts settled. Even if they did notice her presence, she still had every inch of the advantage.
The door to the tavern approached and she slowed again, stopping to stare at its looming form for a long second before sidestepping and resting her back on the thick frame. She closed her eyes, slipping her mind into the rolling of the waves as she allowed time to silently slide by.

Aerie listened calmly while the horse rider seemed to search around the hallway outside before returning to the door of Aerie’s cell.
“My name is Aerie,” the young wyvern responded to Shem’s question. His eyes became unfocused as he struggled for an answer to the second inquiry. His fiery orange eyes gazed into Shem’s as he answered: “I don’t know. A long time, I think.” He twisted his left arm over as he looked over it, then drew his eyes over the small, round scar on his left wing muscle and then over the remainder of his large wings. “I feel older though, so it must’ve been a few years.” He then glanced around the stone walls habitually, not meeting Shem’s gaze.
the humans running the compound were thoughtless, numb minded beings, but sometimes Shem still didn’t understand how they could be so cruel.
He looked up from the door he had been trying to open and watched the wyvern talk, it’s face was gaunt and it’s color looked too pale to be a normal wyvern color. “Aerie. That’s a strong name you’ve got lad. Can you tell me which soldier holds the keys to your cell?” Shem asked, lifting a leg and bashing the lock slightly, noting that nothing changed in its appearance.
(Barnacles and cracks??? On the Quicksilver??? Vhanya would rather be caught dead than with barnacles on her beloved ship 😭

(Muskets and flintlocks abound! Especially in Pirate’s Cove)

Vhanya couldn’t help but feel a grin beginning to hint at her lips as dawn sunlight spilled out from sea mists over the docks; sending sparkles over the shining waxed decks of the Quicksilver, and setting aglow the soft edges of feathery wings and hair of her new crew—her crew! Once again, Captain Vhanya Marriott had a crew, and she was as giddy and light as a schoolgirl caught awhirl in first love.

Ember was as obstinate and fiery as a mule, Lichen was shrill and entitled despite her somewhat scrappy appearance, Galen looked positively weary to the bone, the greasy Phoenix could only be described as cripplingly naive, and there was a very strong chance the other two had recently escaped a mental institution.

Vhanya had dealt with worse, she could make it work - she always made it work.

With the feeling of fresh confidence leaving a spring to her step, Vhanya turned to the possibly deranged Harpy man.
“You may join my crew, but understand if I catch you stepping out of line I’ll have your corpse fed to the gulls and alley-cats.”
Without looking in his direction, she jabbed a clawed finger towards the cowled fellow. “And you; you may stay around until we set sail. I’d advise you find a way to make yourself useful and slightly less… eerie.”

She looked up just as Ember‘s wings clapped open and she took to the crow’s nest. Something was amiss, Vhanya knew to trust Ember’s sixth sense more than her own.
To add to the oddness of the Harpy’s sudden flight, one of Vhanya’s non-supernatural senses was nagging her. A faint.. scent? And one not entirely unlike that of the large, shaggy herding dogs she frequently saw during her times in Neustadt.

@RDchicken99 (Maybe the king will have to come into play here? ;))

Aerie startled at the bash to his door. He large wings flared outwards and in a sudden movement he lifted himself into a crouching position, claws gripping the floor tensely.
What was the man trying to do?
Aerie held his shocked silence for a moment before responding, his tone slightly offended. “It’s not a soldier that has the key,” he grumbled. “It’s your highness.”

“Sorry.” Shem said with a cringe.
Highness? As in the king? Aka not someone I can mess with right now.” Shem thought angrily, it seemed there wasn’t much he could do to help Aerie.
“Are they just going to keep you here? Do you know why?” He asked, feeling bad that he was basically interrogating the poor creature. “And why haven’t they killed you…”

Jintao stared at the dark man as he passed by. Jordan? He had heard of the name before back in Bayport, but it didn't have enough significance for him to remember why he had heard it. He scanned the room while Tay talked with the man. All the faces were foreign to him, yet Tay had already met an old friend.
He lowered his hat some as Tay patted past him. "I hope his work is somewhere other than this bar," he whispered, following her through the crowd. Some man cooed at Tay as they passed by. "And unless it's part of you using me as your 'ticket,' perhaps we should make it more obvious that we're not together."
