-The Mythics RP-

Lupin thumped down belowdecks, awkwardly peering around the barrel to try to see where she was headed. She set her load down, with a louder thump than she had meant, and a tiny squeak came from behind the supplies. No, two squeaks. She peered behind the stacks of supplies to find...
A rat.
The fattest, ugliest, hairiest rat Lupin had ever seen.
And a harpy.
But her eyes focused on the rat.
Her foot shot out, blocking the rat's escape. The rodent glared at her with beady eyes filled with resentment.
"Catch it! Kill it! Do something!" she yelped at the Harpy, blocking the rat's frenzied escape route. Before anyone could do anything, the rat had vanished into some unseen crack, gone.
Lupin sighed. "Do you have a cat? Or will we have to go chase it?"

Ember jolted at the commotion, stopping and whipping back toward the stocks of barrels.
Flames and Feathers.
Just as she was starting to think the crew had some decency.
Screeching over a rodent.

Ember turned away from Lupin dismissively, descending quickly into the lower deck, where the crew was hurrying about, arranging the trail end of fresh supplies and gathering the components for the bulkheads- the lower deck dividers.
Progress. We're finally making progress.
The morning's events had nearly stamped out any faith she had in the Quicksilver and her Captain's sailing capabilities. The starter crew had been ragtag and borderline pathetic. But after the rather dull afternoon, followed by the progressive evening, and surprisingly, with a little disciplinary help from Jintao, the crew was finally sea-worthy.
She lingered at the base of the steps, surveying the crew with sharp eyes.
And among the shadows of the stocked crates and barrels- movement.
Her eyes flared suddenly, accompanied by a twitch of her wings and she stared forward quickly, focus dead-set on the movement. A few of the crew members swerved out of her path, others slowed to avoid intercepting it. She received a couple of wary glances.
A stowaway? Or a slacker?
She stopped just beyond the stacks of supplies, lifting a hand to allow a torch of flame to light the space suddenly.
"You."
Of course, it was the crazed Harpy. The one that made her greatly reconsider her conditions of "mercy."
"Stop sulking behind the supplies like a startled rat and start setting up the bulkheads. There is work to be done."
She flicked her hand sharply, plunging the space into darkness again, and then stalked away.

@Lacy Duckwing
Gecko spun sharply. He stretched out his wings, hitting everything in their path. He stared at Ember for a moment, his face almost as pale as it was earlier. Her pistol was still aimed at his chest, or was it? The shadows were dark, still dripping with past horrors in Gecko's mind.
"Sulking?" Gecko didn't recognize his own voice. It was thick with spew that he couldn't swallow. He backed until the cold wall stopped him. Laying his hands against it, he shook his head. She was going to shoot him, and there was nothing he could do to escape it.
The space went dark and Ember left him alone without another word. Gecko swallowed and breathed. His legs still bore him up and his heart still pumped blood through his body. She hadn't killed him this time. He slid down the wall away from her. He wasn't ready to be in the light yet. Lurking in nothing but darkness was were he felt the only safety he could find.

Gecko turned toward Lichen. Not again! Won't they ever leave him alone? He had to get off of this ship. It was going to be nothing but another blood bath. He tucked in his wings and scurried into hiding. Once things quieted down that night, he'd leave the ship and never look at another again.

Nautalis shifted awkwardly the roll of heavy canvas, dropping it unsteadily atop one of the crates still needing arranging.
Rats?
She peered over the stack at the startled werewolf and Harpy.
Fascinating. I didn't know that rodents could survive overseas. I suppose there's no reason why not.
"It escaped then, did it?"
She kneeled on one of the lower stacks, peering over the supplies at the pair of Mythics, golden eyes flickering with interest.

@-Eridanus-

Ember's flaming eyes narrowed slightly at the man's words, but she glanced back to the Captain immediately after.
"Yes, Captain. We'll be ready to sail by dawn."
The Harpy took a gracious step back, dipping her head politely to Vhanya and the surgeon before turning on her heel and striding toward the deck's descending stairs.
"All free hands on deck- down below! Assemble the bulkheads!"
Ember's voice carried, thick-toned and steady, clear above the clamor of the Quicksilver's crew.
She paused at the top of the stairwell, red eyes flashing quickly among the mingled crew to land, piercing on the werewolf girl.
"Lupin. A word."
What’s a bulkhead? Coal wondered. Oh well, he would certainly find out.
Coal walked belowdeck just in time to hear Lupin’s yell and see the rat slip into a crack. He whistled. “Vanya won’t be happy to hear about that,” he said, personally disappointed that he hadn’t been there to catch it. As he watched Nautalis unroll the canvas, his heart skipped a beat. (Bruh I need to picture her skin as bronze, not blue why am I picturing her blue) Her limbs were slim and supple, her brows lovely arches over her golden eyes. Her lips soft…
He stood on the other side of the canvas, gently grabbing the other end, fingers trembling.
He looked into her eyes with wide black eyes. A question was in them.
What do we do with this?

What do we do with this?
Nautalis jumped slightly, turning to glance back over her shoulder at the movement and rustling of the canvas roll she had dropped.
"Oh... salevtae," she breathed, relaxing as her gaze glanced across his wide, dark eyes, before falling back to the canvas.
"Ah, I suppose we... take this to the frames?"
She pointed a slender finger to where some of the crew had assemble the wooden spokes.

Nautalis slipped down from the stack of crates, offering the Harpy near the wall a final glance as she adjusted the scarf around her neck. The Siren lifted the other end of the heavy canvas, struggling to grip it as it tried to slip past her long nails.
"Well, I suppose we find out."
She gave the Phoenix a faint smile.
