(many apologies, today was my first day back in my normal routine after about a week

)
Galen was slightly amused.
"Ah, I see." He glanced towards the stairs "I'll give it a go," He grinned, "and if I do end up dying, do me a favor and keep an eye on my bird?"
This was meant in jest but in all reality, it had been quite a while since he had been in contact with as many humans as were down there.
Galen folded his wings tightly and desended into the dim stuffiness of the lower decks.
Men bustled around on various activities as tiny streaks of dim light entered through the wooden planks above.
His keen eyes scanned the floor beneath hammocks as he tried to stay out of the way.
He noted a couple distastlful glances as his wings occationally brushed and bumped aganst people, but they let him be as he kept his head down and muttered his apologies.
The shoes were located and Galen quicky scooped them up from the floor. He spun around to leave and nearly colided with the front a rugged man.
In a flash, the surprise on the mans face gave way to anger.
"Pardon me," Galen haistily sidestepped and kept walking, his heart beat loudly in his temples. He could fight but not against everyone here. He'd never felt to exposed.
the offendee grumbling about '
distainful mythics' met Galen's ears as he disapered across the room. He hurried the stairs into the open air where he held out the shoes to Gecko.
"You're right," He grimaced, "they're a rough group."
