I could have ask her this question but would like it to be a surprise. I will buy more equipment for her as time progresses and money is available. I'm pretty sure I can swing this lens right now though.

She's lucky to have such a thoughtful dad!

Ok, they didn't attach! Take 2:

Beautiful pictures! I LOVE the chick tree you have! And your little 'uns are precious!
I was offered left overs from the food bank. Veggies that are starting to wilt. I still haven't picked them up... I should get on that!!
Good stuff!
and one of Leigh's (BDM's) infertile eggs.
I'm sorry, but after a certain conversation I had with someone yesterday, this gave me a real giggle!
(But hey! I overcame infertility just in time for menopause!)

My FIL took this picture the other day. What the heck do you think is going on here? He had no clue. It sure was pretty though.
Showed the pic to DH and he's seen reference to this phenomenon before. It's totally natural. Link below gives explanation, scroll down for pic and text at bottom of article.

LOL! I actually knew the answer to this one, but Delisha - you crack me up!

Second day with two eggs!

The bird brain who laid on the coop floor did it again...she could still get it down right? Don't like the thought of her laying an egg every day in fresh poo.....
Congrats on 2 eggs again!!

So I put 3 huge Tablespoons of the FF in the Brooder feed tray, they all came over and looked but no one would eat it. The Kung Pow(the cockerel) comes over and takes a bite, turns and feeds one of the other chicks. He did this with all of them. They are now gobbling it up. I think I may have a good little rooster in the future. He is only 7-8 weeks old. I have never heard of them doing this so early. My 10mo LF rooster is just now feeding his girls.
He's a keeper for sure!!!

Stony,

I so want another Maine Coon mix. My last two were such wonderful cats. Huge big fluff balls that I adored.

My best cat I've ever had. Charlie. I miss him every day.

Believe it or not, a bird of prey tried to get this beast, but obviously couldn't. Charlie was very large. He contracted a nasty flesh eating bacterial infection, even after emergency vet the same day and antibiotics, it got worse and it was cut his leg off and put him through months and months of treatment and not even a good chance of it working, or let him rest in peace. I miss him so much.

The Maine Coon.. Even mixes.. They make the best pet cats, and are just so large. Their voices are so small too.
Charlie was a handsome boy. Here is our indoor only Maine Coon mix. Her name is Foxie...but for years now it has simply been "baby girl". She now knows Baby Girl is her name.

I took this the other day and simply call it cat and mouse

So, completely off topic, but since you all are the only adults I talk to on a dialy basis....

Took my daughter to see the Cirque du Soleil movie, and my back still hurts after watching these amazingly astounding four woman defy human logic..

I watched it as well, on the day it came out. James Cameron is amazing with his 3D work. I've also watched a live Cirque Du Soleil show and enjoyed the movie more. Probably because I could see their facial expressions. I did like the singing that was done live though.

or a big 5 gallon bucket half filled with water or windshield washer fluid, you put a coat hanger across the top after you straighten it, slip a few empty spools of thread covered in peanut butter in the middle of the coat hanger. Try using some tape on each end so the spools don't spin to the edge of the bucket. Cover the whole thing in a wire feeder so the chickens can't get in. Some put a paint stick along side the bucket for the lil critter to crawl up.
I'm going to have to save that somewhere

A couple people have shared variations of that and I keep forgetting but I think it's worth having in my archives! Thanks for bringing it up again!
