The Never Ending Hatching thread! For those of us that hatch all year long!

Well not that old to chickens ...last spring had 10 then got an incubator then another and now i have 26 chickens and eggs in and more eggs coming...so hatching is VERY addicting.
BE WARNED!!!
I bought the hatching eggs to hatch b/c i love how these breeds and colors look .They are a joy... but yes the goal now to sell chicks and eggs locally

X2 We bought 6 chickens and built 1 pen last January to have fresh eggs for the grandkids. In less than a year we've gone to at least 50 chickens in 6 pens, 45 in brooders, 51 in incubators and 21 in lockdown. If you have an addictive personality, run, run very fast, it will get you!

I had a chick under my hen hatch today
also still have 6 eggs in my incubator. So far it's doing great. I checked and one i can easily see starting to get veins. So hopeful to have some january chicks as well as this december chick.

Update:

14 have now hatched and the lone banty egg too. 10 more to go

2 of my 21 Christmas Day hatch have pipped. Mine always hatch early. Still have 25 in for the NYD hatcha-long

out of the last set 21 out of 25 hatched. last 4 pretty sure are dead but ill leave em another day or so before i toss em out back.

maybe they'll hatch tomorrow evening. Never give up hope. i knew for sure that none of my eggs would hatch and now i have a chick that my hen keeps wanting me to chicky sit cause she's on some eggs still. She must know if those eggs are good or not.

Got a really nice flashlight as a Xmas present from my son and candled this morning
Tomorrow is lockdown,
I was so thrilled with these brown eggs ! For the first time in all my hatches i saw movment.Had poor candlers
Also suprised as i thought they were gonners b/c they were in the mail 7 days Think i may have 4 or 5 good ones moving and a few iffys.

Candled a few due on Jan 9th.Saw about 3 or 4 with veins but day 7 so cant tell a lot.

3 hatched Threw rest out last night day 23.Hope iodidnt throw out a good one!! Didnt eggtopsy bedtime not likely though

Locked down another 25 eggs today. Hesitating to set anymore right now, since its looking like our move could be happening sooner then planned

well reluctantly i HAD to turn it off, brooders/coops/everything are too full. Spring time comes, i will be hatching like a mad woman
