The Never Ending Hatching thread! For those of us that hatch all year long!

Nothing has hatched yet but one of my eggs said CHEEEEEEEEEEEEP in the middle of the night and it was wiggling LOL i got no sleep. No progress, Not sure if the cheep was in my dream but the wiggling was real. :) after the incubator being unplugged i'm sure they'll be a day late at least, they were due today.

i know where your coming from, haha

Most farm stores have hovabators, still air manual turn.
Never get a still air, very unsuccesful. :(

But, you can buy the hovabator, and they have a separate box for auto turns if you like, 50 for the bator, 50 for autoturn where i live, then buy a computer fan off ebay, and hook that in there.

Or you could make a homemade incubator! I know there are some great ideas on here some them. :)

Why would still air give a bad hatch rate? I tried hooking a fan into my incubator and had bad luck til i ripped it out. I'm sure my experience goes against everyone elses. Always seems to be that way for me.

You can have your parents order one for you. I bought mine off e-bay it came with the egg turner for $120 free shipping. Just watch for them. You can get a good one cheap online.
If you want to go get one look up farm supply stores in your area. They all sell them.

Still air creates thermal layers. It will be, say 89 degrees in the bottom, 100 smack where the eggs are and 104 at the top. Problem comes in that those layers can make it easier to cook or chill your eggs.
