I'd like to see that coat!

Hard to tell- but to me this looks like a raccoon that has lost most of it's tail. Our bobcats don't have as much dark guard hair in their coats as the animal in the photos. But color varies by region and our tame bobcats usually have a smoother coat than wild. Quess I wasn't much help.

You need another live trap!

I have 3 set and have gotten 9 in the last 5 days. 3 adult females- all nursing, so I know there are alot more. I normally use canned cat food- but have been using Marshmellows and they seem to work great.

A pellet gun is not enough. The minimum would be a .410 or a 22. Also inhumane is trapping and releasing live raccoons. A lot of folks like to do this because they think it's the nice thing to do. Not so. Raccoons are very territorial animals--drop it off down the road, and you likely drop it off in another animal's territory--leaving the relocated 'coon to suffer a much slower death than just shooting in the first place. Not to mention making your problem someone else's.

Not just singling you out, anthonyjames. Lots of people will talk about trap-and-release when it come to 'coon problems--I just wanted to point out that it's not really the humane way to go.
