Great pics beefy, I gotta get me one of those cameras.

I have seen the bobcat, coyote, fox and coons here all in the daytime. Wonder what else is out there at night. I live right on a creek so of course that means more critters.

Loved the pics.

Dude, do you live next to a predator training ground or predator nature perserve? I'm guessing the next picture will be of a black bear walking around.

Is it possilbe to run electric fencing around your entire property?

What is bringing all the predators to your place?

Hey Beefy - I just discovered your wonderful thread and read all 19 pages of posts and pictures. Makes me want to order one of those cameras - in fact, I think I will.

In the meantime, maybe I should ship you some of my dogs. I guarantee the predators won't be holding nightly conventions in your yard with my dogs on patrol. Would be great to capture on camera.

Whirlwind, for every one of those you see just think about how many see you that you dont know about.

pacman--i live on a thousand acre farm (soon to be less due to the economy sadly). it has a lot of wildlife habitat and is bordered on two sides by creeks. so there is a lot of wildlife. i have never seen a bear here, tho they are around. there was one in the tree at cracker barrel a few years back.. i have seen panthers tho and would lovelovelove to get a picture of one.

ruth--you totally need one. if i had the money i would probably just get a surveillance camera setup. although this is nice b/c i can take it anywhere and it runs on batteries (pro and con). LOL i'll pass on the dogs--i have 5 dogs but they dont live at the same place my chickens and cats do. however all these animals have been seen where the dogs live too from time to time.

No kidding, I guess that is why we have Chicken fort Knox here. Extra latches on the coops one is not enough and wire on the bottom.

The last one we built my DH welded together and we always use 1/2 inch heavy wire. We have diggers every night trying to get chicken dinner.

Not to mention the Hawks and Owls.

But I would not want to live in the City either where you would have less predators.

The wild Turkeys are also back. They come everyday. Wonder if its cause I feed them.
