I like the planes when they bank. It's cooler than when they're flying final but you have to wait till the wind's northerly before they fly circuit for runway 5.

oops, sorry I rambled. I sit by the river to watch planes, there is a spot where you can see wether they're landing on runway 23 and 05. they just go different directions...

The 05 thing is very rare though, the wind hardly ever blows that way.

James!!! I am literally collapsed on my table laughing. You crazy spaceship

Fine... on the way back from China (my holiday) we had to fly the localiser approach because it was very cloudy. I could tell because the heading was something very obvious like 230 and we never turned. And you couldn't see outside, we were swathed in this puffy white stuff.

The previous planes had to go around, and we were diverted to Melbourne first before we could return to adelaide... and fly the localiser approach. Confused enough?
