Hi I'm Ivy, I'm 20 years old. I have had pet chickens almost all my life. Up until now. I recently lost my beloved serama hen. I've been looking on craigslist frequently for people selling serama or silkie chicks around my area because those are the kind of breeds I've enjoyed having the most. But I've not been having any luck. Someone recommended me to this site. So maybe I could find some local breeders or nearby breeders. I've also been looking at buying chickens online but that is expensive and can be risky I hear. I live in the Colorado spring area. Hopefully this site can help me find a new feather friend. I also hope to be part of what looks like a wonderful community of chicken enthusiasts :) Thanks, Ivy!

[IMG] My friend has silkies and seramas as pets - she doesn't raise any tho. Hers came from NY and Ohio. You might also check out the AMERICAN SERAMA thread and SILKIE THREAD ( put in search box) there are active groups in both breeds and I'm sure Colorado must have it's share.
