jerryse how is this color different from splash........ As far as breeding genetics is concerned. He is a beautiful bird. I purchased BBS Am. Eggs from you last year and hatched a absolutely gorgeous splash roo. Juanita

From what I can find this is from a form of dominant white . Different than the usual dominant white . 1 copy gives this color . 2 copies is a pure white bird . So breeding is a lot like blue . A pure white bred to black will give 100% Erminett . There once was a breed called Erminett .

I want to offer my Marans eggs here - so altough the questions is a little off topic - it will determine if and how I can offer here :

I have BBC, blue splash Marans hens - all great egg color. Due to a death of the main BBC roo - I have an all white Marans roo - also great egg color lines - perfect body, lovely feathered legs ....

My question is - with pure white roo - what color will the offspring be? I have some people very interested in good lines of pure Marans not for show - but for eggs - but I can't tell them what color the hens will be ... any idea ????
