The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

Just curious, though, does Alaska have strict regulations about shipping eggs in like VA and HI do (must be NPIP with special paperwork)?
No. You Cannot bring them through Canada. But our mail comes on a plane. So we don't apply any of that.

Yes they do, I posted them already below.

Alaska:
*** POULTRY & HATCHING EGGS *** Birds from the Exotic Newcastle Disease quarantined areas need an Alaskan permit number.
1. Poultry and hatching eggs imported into the state must be accompanied by a permit and a health certificate which includes certification that:
1. the flock from which the poultry or hatching eggs have originated tested negative for Pullorum and Typhoid disease;
2. the poultry or hatching eggs were produced in full compliance with the National Poultry Improvement Plan; and
3. the poultry or hatching eggs originated from flocks or areas not under state or federal restriction.
2. The applicable National Poultry Improvement Plan forms must accompany the shipment.

If you are NPIP and send out a form with your shipment and do not completely follow the regulations you will be notified and/or can be charged. I think it is a misdemeanor in most States.

Okay let me rephrase that. NOone in Alaska cares. If we followed all of this stupid little teeny tiny idiotic regulations. We would all be keeping ptarmigan in are chicken coops.

Also that was all written back in the 80's........
Until they update it.........
