I know a guy whos inc spiked to 110 he caught it n lowered it. they harched. why im buildin a cabinet inc with cut offs n alarms .good luck with the hatch!

i think they're drowning. I keep my humidity at 20-35 first 18 and bump it up to 60-65 for lockdown. Everyone has a different opinion about it but in my experience I have had dramatically better hatches with dry hatch method.
I was thinking the same thing. Especially when it's so humid here with all the rain.

There are a ton of threads on this site about humidity and incubation.... Good stuff to read. Looks like you're in Florida, where its plenty humid. I'm in Texas where its quite humid as well. I pretty much don't add water until lockdown. That being said, my hatch rate is about 65% with shipped eggs. Closer to 100% when I pick up local eggs. Good Luck!!

Those that are incubating..don't forget! Clean hands! Every single time you go to touch an egg. :)
Yeah, because we know they came out of a sterile chicken butt, (sarcasm intended), and then spend 3 weeks in broody poo. I laugh when I hear of people putting on gloves to collect their hatching eggs.

Nature has provided mechanisms to protect an egg from bacterial invasion/infection. It's one reason you don't wash hatching eggs.

Lol, Dak! I see your point but one thing I did read was oils on hands and clogging pores on eggs. I am one of those that candles eggs more often then not so I worry this might affect the eggs. BUT I am not a glove girl! ;)
