The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

I'm needing to get some heat packs that will last at least 3 days. Does anybody know where I can buy some online at a reasonable price?

This was the cheapest I had found when I was looking to buy. I know the link says 40hr but they have 72 hr on that page as well. They are $1.69 each with flat rate shipping of $4.99

Oh thank you! Thank you!! That's awesome! Some of my customers WANT then some do Not, for fear of incubation starting and ruining eggs, I am probably in that arena cause I don't nessasarily think if I order eggs that they would put it far enough away from the eggs. Those heat packs can get really warm! Enough to start the incubation since they feel nice and warm to us.we are 98.6 degrees so if it feels warm then it is warmer than us. Are these heat packs for eggs a bit cooler? Does anyone know how hot they get? Guess I'll go look... Duh lol

I don't add them, reason being, how do we care for eggs before we set them? we keep them cool. I have hatched eggs from my fridge after they were in there 3 weeks (unturned, just on the door)
I suppose if the eggs were going to be delivered to someone's house rather then picked up at the PO and mailed from the PO, I might want the heat pack, but if I am going to spend money on eggs, I will get my tail to the PO to pick them up.
just saying.

I agree. If I ordered eggs in either the heat of summer or frigid cold of winter I would either pick them up or ask a neighbor to get them when the postal carrier left and bring them in for me. I could always pick them up from a neighbor when I did get home. I understand people work and aren't home when the mail is delivered but alot of people have neighbors or relatives that would do a small favor. But I had somebody that had their eggs left out on their porch and when they got home they where very cold and none hatched. Only 1 even developed. I know my eggs are fertile and also that the Po can damage them before they even make it to the buyer where they won't develop but I would like to be able to offer a heat pack if they wanted one. I feel bad if my buyers don't get any chicks at all. I've even sent out replacements on occasion because of it. But when I do that I loose money. My whole reason in selling eggs is to provide what my birds need be it feed or a vet bill or show expenses.

It doesn't take long to freeze eggs. It will -19 here Monday morning. Even 1 hour in the unheated back of a postal truck can kill your chances. All shipments do not stay in heated areas. That is why I do not sell in winter.

I am offering up 6+ Lavender Wyandotte project hatching eggs.
I have a Large fowl lavender roo (yellow legs ) and a lavender wyandotte with gray legs over one lavender wyandotte hen with gray legs and 2 black split lavender hens, one with yellow legs and one with gray legs. I have hatched from this group black split to lavender and pure lavender. Some of the lavenders have totally gray legs and some have yellowish with some gray, the blacks have the same but yellow/black not yellow gray. There are a few that come out with straight combs. These are a project, they are not perfect. You will get at least 2 pure lavender to lavender eggs. Regarding the pictures, picture 2&3 are the same roo, picture 4 is the other lavender roo.

Bidding will start at: $25.00
Shipping will be via USPS WITH DELIVERY CONFORMATION at a cost of $13.00

Eggs will ship out Monday if paid by then, no e checks, I accept Paypal only.

Please place your bid as a reply to this classified (do not PM to bid!).

I pack well but I can not be responsible after the eggs leave my hands. Shipping can be hard on eggs as well as each person hatching may have better success then others. I do not mark the box hatching eggs. I have sucessfully shipped many eggs with great results by shipping this way.
I find it's better not to tell the post office that it's breakable so it less trauma. If you want the box marked, it will be sent strapped in a postal bin. I've had limited success shipping this way but still way better then a marked box, free floating in the postal system.

so good luck, bid high and successful hatching.****************************************
