The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

We are under layers of ice! Yes I live in TEXAS!! I cannot believe this mess.. All roads and bridges are blocked or closed....we have a huge loop that goes around Houston it is all blocked with accidents , the Fred Hartman bridge is completely closed due to ice....I have woke up in hell...well not really it is cozy in my house...not really hell....just limiting buts it's nice to stay in ( child home from school to do chicken chores) so it could be worse...but out there tractor trailers are trying to go over frozen overpasses and sliding all over what a re people THINKING??

you mean those people trying to drive on ice actually do have thoughts? heck, even in maine they know better than to take anything out on the ice unless it's got chains, studs or tracks.

Wow. Ice is the worst! Worse than any amount of snow. Good luck there and stay safe! I hope your power stays on!

It is terrible here. We had a big snow storm, with the most fall at 16.2 inches. That was about 2 weeks about. Now we have a huge cold front, it is going to stay freezing for about a week. saturday and sunday it is actually warming up a lot to 20s and 30s, but then likely back to negatives. Especially with wind chills. Many schools are delaying for temps, some are even closing.

Good gravy! For those of you unaccustomed to dealing with this, I hope you all stay safe and sound. We're used to ice like crazy here, and you learn to drive in it if it's common. For folks who don't do much of that, it's dangerous!

We're sunny and 35˚ here today, and tomorrow is supposed to be over 50˚...then in the single digits again. Oy.

All I can do is look at the bright side: the borer beetles that eat our trees and the mosquitos, fleas and ticks will be less plentiful this year.

10+ blue Marans eggs BIN $30 + $15 shipping. Ends Sunday 5.00pm PST. To ship Monday morning

We selected our final blue marans flock from show bird stock from a top breeder in Texas. The rooster and hens are blue. Eggs are an excellent dark brown color - see below with a blue egg. The rooster has a SUPER nice temperament. He is nice to the hens, and has never showed any aggression to humans.
We do not guarantee hatch rates but rates at home are excellent. Eggs will be very fresh and will be packed very well.

These birds belong to luvinbluechickens so please PM her at end of sale

O i am accustomed to it. I'm in Indiana. And well that just about explains it lol. It is pretty bad, lot of wrecks. A guy hit my dad today, smashed the front passenger side and swung around and broke his taillight. The front is all bent up. The guy was supposed to stop. He didn't even try to stop, he was looking for a house. The truck is still driveable though.
