26 hour Auction Ends Wednesday 2/5 at 12 noon PST

18 Eggs + extras!

This auction is for eggs that were collected within 3 days. Eggs will ship on Wednesday February 5th assuming payment has been received.

Eggs will include:

Basque - 9
White Bresse - 9

About our Basque Euskal Oiloa
We have owned Basque since 2011, The birds you see in the photo are the 3rd generation raised on our farm. Our birds come from James Meeks of Skyline Poultry. We had our first ever 100% hatch rate from shipped eggs which to me is a great indication of a lines health and vigor.

Since we acquired the birds, we have been selectively breeding for correctness. We hatched over 100 Basque in 2013 and chose the 10 we are using as breeders this year. All of our breeders have yellow legs and good coloring. Our breeding goals include breeding birds with broader chests and wider backs.

Basque are an ideal breed for both breeders and backyard enthusiasts. For starter, Basque eggs seem to ship and hatch better than many breeds. The egg shell quality is excellent. Basque have friendly calm temperaments and the hens lay large brown eggs and are non-broody. Basque are not auto-sexing, but by 3-4 weeks you can begin to discern the boys from the girls based on body color.

About Our Bresse:
We acquired 12 eggs and hatched 10 birds in May 2013. The breeder (Chiquita) we purchased our eggs from got her breeding stock from Green Fire Farms. Of the 10 eggs that hatched, we ended up with 7 girls and 3 boys. We chose the biggest and most robust 4 pullets and 2 cockerels as our breeders.

I had heard Bresse were indifferent with people, but that has not been my experience. I find them friendly and curious. I have limited experience with the Bresse, but so far I have been very happy with them.

Bidding starts at $30, Shipping is $16

Here are a few photos. You can see lots more photos and videos of our birds on our website.

Sorry, I copied my old auction and neglected to change the word Friday to Wednesday. It is a 26 hour auction that started on Tuesday at 10 am PST and end Wednesday at 12 noon pst.

I can ship Wednesday after auction ends assuming payment has been received before 2pm pst.

I apologize for the confusion my typo may have caused. Depending on production, I may be able to run a second auction for Friday shipment.

I never saw any bids posted and find this site horrible to navigate an auction!!!!! Ill stick to eBay..
That. A normal auauction!! Lol
It does get easier to navigate. I rarely purchased eggs from ebay. I have had terrible luck with the quality of eggs and chicks from some ebay sellers. I am not saying they are all bad, but you have to be careful. I always ask sellers if they are BYC members and if so I ask for their BYC name. It is good to know who you are buying from.

I rarely sell on ebay anymore as I got tired of all the fees. I think you will have better luck getting good eggs and quality birds on BYC. IMHO
