The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

6++ D'uccle Eggs!

My girls are laying like crazy and I'm done incubating eggs for the season! I don't want to see their eggs go to waste though. Great birds with sweet dispositions. I'm not 100% sure but I do believe that the hen on the left in the photos is a Blue Mille Fleur D'uccle. I've tried doing a search for that color online but mostly what I've found are descriptions instead of photos. The feathering on their feet is usually better than what the photos show.
I have nesting boxes for my hens with clean flake so all of their eggs are nice and clean when I gather them.
My fiance' and I both work for the USPS. He's a clerk and I'm a carrier. Se we both know the importance of packaging eggs when shipping them. Eggs will be bubble wrapped and double boxed with more cushion between the boxes. Shipping is $15 Priority with a tracking number provided.
Bidding starting at $10. Auction to end Wednesday at 8AM Central Standard Time. If the wining bidder pays shortly after the end of the auction, I will ship them the same day the auction ends.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. This is my first time posting something for sale on BYC. I'm no stranger to selling on Ebay, though.

Just in time for the Easter Hatch-a-long!

12+ Swedish Flower Hen eggs - Bidding starts @ $35, includes shipping. Last bid accepted at 7:00pm, Tues. March 25. Eggs to be shipped on Wednesday, March 26th. Eggs will be well wrapped, double-boxed and shipped USPS Priority Mail. No shipments to VA OR HI.

I have 14 hens and 6 roos from 5 different sources, so you will get lots of diversity. They are laying well and fertility is great. None of my birds have split-wing or curled toes, but a couple of the hens have side sprigs. I have both crested and non-crested hens, and the 2 youngest roos are crested, so there is a small chance of a crested to crested breeding. My main roos, Astolf and David, run a very tight flock and the younger roos don't get a lot of opportunities to breed even if the hens will let them near.

ETA - I pack very well and send fresh, fertile eggs, but I can not be held responsible for rough handling by USPS. Shipping hatching eggs is a risk, but I do my best to ensure safe arrival. If you are not prepared to accept that risk, please don't buy these eggs.

Thanks for looking!

This is how I pack my eggs. It is almost USPS proof.

Raven,
How well do your MF Leghorns lay and what size egg? I love the looks, but keep hearing stories of low production and small eggs from other people that have this breed. Not impugning yours in anyway. thanks.

My girls are laying almost everyday! The eggs are what I would call medium compared to my Marans eggs. I had heard about the low production too but mine seem to have not gotten that memo.

Thnak you so much!

I am not Raven (obviously

) but I have MFL. Their eggs are disappointing if you expect something the size of a white or brown leghorn egg. Otherwise, they are a nice medium egg. Mine lay every other day - pretty consistent about it too. I think as the hours get longer, production may increase. Just know what to expect, these birds are not bred for production like the whites and browns. They behave more like a heritage breed chicken. One of the things I like about mine is that they are very easy to hatch! That matters far more to me than egg size.

I bid $10

I have to stay off here!!! Raven I want your eggs but just can't afford more... For some reason some people think it's more important to keep a roof over your head, the electric on, food on the table and such! I think hatching eggs is so much more fun!!
