The NEW Crazy 24hr AUCTION thread

Not that I know of and I have not hatched a frizzle out of them. Wish they did!
LL
Do these carry any frizzle in their genes?
I believe fizzle is a dominant trait and if the chickens "carry" it, they would show it. Also I think the homozygous genotype is semi-lethal.

12++ Eggs from my Silkie Feather Ameraucana project. Auction ends Tuesday at 4pm EST and eggs to ship on Monday.

Bidding starts at $45.00 and includes shipping :)

For anyone that is not familiar with this project a BYC member named Jubaby hatched two Splash Ameraucanas a few years back that had Silkie type feathering. These birds were hatched from Ameraucana eggs and not related at all to the Silkie breed- it is believed to have been a spontaneous mutation. Other than the same type of feathering they do not have any traits whatsoever in common with a Silkie .

The original birds that hatched were genetically weak and sadly most of the first generation from these birds have died already. To work out those fragile genes I took what I had and crossed them several times to great lines of Black and Lavender Ameraucana while working towards a Lavender Silkie Feathered Ameraucana. I am finally at my first Lavender generation and they are looking great

These are project eggs and egg color still needs work- eggs range in color from Sky Blue to Olive.

I am working with Black Ameraucana all split to Silkie feathering and all split to Lavender. The possibilities are smooth Blacks, Silkie Feathered Blacks, smooth Lavenders and Silkie Feathered Lavenders. I can not guarantee what you will hatch but that is what I am hatching. So far I have been very pleased with all the chicks I have hatched...very healthy and robust!

This first pic is one of my original Splash birds

Phage--I wonder if we could consider putting a max on the number of photos per listing?? Perhaps 2-3??
Sorry @Arielle,

I did not actually mean to post so many. I cannot see them in the thumb nail so I uploaded them and meant to delete the ones I did not want... but got distracted and forgot... I need to slow down. I am constantly doing too many things at once.

It is possible to use the smallest size of pictures and have them placed side by side. Just have you cursor at the end of a picture, hit the space bar to add a space and delete 2-3 spaces. The second picture should pop up beside the first.
