Auction: Jill Rees Cream Legbar Hatching Eggs (10+ eggs).

In August 2014, we acquired several Cream Legbars from Jill Rees lines. We now have some of these Jill Rees Cream Legbar hatching eggs available.

The Cream Legbar (also known as "Crested Cream Legbar") is one of the most well known of the autosexing chickens. They are known for their crest, eye catching sky blue eggs, and their laying ability. The Cream Legbar was created in the 1930's by crossing Brown Leghorns, Barred Rocks, and Araucanas. The cross created a bird which lays many eggs like a Leghorn, has a sky blue hue like the Araucana, and is barred like a Barred Rock. This combination adds for a unique specimen. The new line of Jill Rees Cream Legbar chickens we have look beautiful. While there is some variation in coloring in this line, only the better representatives of the breed were chosen for breeding. Pictures are of actual birds in the breeding pen.

Bidding starts at $70 and must be in whole dollar amounts. Auction will expire exactly 24 hours from this post. Shipping will be an additional $15.

Those representations of the Cream Legbar, unlike some I have seen with lots of gold in the roosters barring, that is not supposed to be there. I sold a very nice Quad a couple years back that were almost as nice as that, he is stunning. GREAT JOB

Thanks! I started with quite a few birds and then have weaned them down from there.

For Auction 12+ Mixed Lot. The birds are pure, but I'm not sure if I will have enough of one kind. I will start collecting tomorrow and ship Monday. These eggs may be a bit dirty, but not too bad. Fertility has been 100% so far. Payment needs to be made at the end of the auction which will be 8:30 pm CST Friday the 27th. I guarantee these eggs will be fresh, fertile and labeled and dated. Once they leave my hands I can not guarantee hatch rates or USPS handling. I write LIVE EMBRYOS on the box and anything else you need me to. Shipping is $15, bids start at $10. The winner can request which eggs they would like most of.

Starting at the top and going clockwise we have Ameracaunas (minty colored), Easter Eggers (lay tons of minty to green eggs), Super Blue Egg Layer (pale blue egg), Bantam Chocolate Orpington, Rhodebar Egg.

The Ameracaunas, Easter Eggers, Brown Leghorns (white egg layers) and SBELs are the mix that will come. Most of these came from DMRippy, the Ameracaunas and Brown Leghorns are not.

Just a reminder on these. These birds are truly crested and cream Legbars. Many people have gotten gold or crestless Legbars from other lines. So far, I've had great results with these birds. They'd make a great addition of true crested cream Legbar blood to existing Legbar flocks or a new addition to a flock.
